Man Kills Ex Wife , Self Because She Shared Their Marital Issues On Social Media

Read Time:1 Minute, 39 Second

A man travelled more than 700 miles to his ex-wife’s Chicago home and shot her dead in a murder-suicide after she wrote about their relationship woes on TikTok, according to reports.

Sania Khan, 29, and her former husband, Raheel Ahmad, 36, were both found with gunshot wounds to the head in her Windy City condo last week, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

The pair were married for less than a year and divorced in May. Ahmad, of Alpharetta, Georgia, travelled to Illinois last week before the violence exploded.

Khan, a Pakistani American photographer, had frequently described the pressures she faced in seeking a split with Ahmad.

“Going through a divorce as a South Asian woman feels like you failed at life sometimes,” she wrote in one post. “The way the community labels you, the lack of support you receive, and the pressure to stay with someone because ‘what will people say’ makes it harder for women to leave marriages that they shouldn’t have been in to begin with.”

She wrote that her family exerted pressure on her to keep the union intact — with some even threatening suicide if she refused.

Police responded to Khan’s apartment after Ahmad’s family reported him missing and expressed concern for his welfare.

After they knocked on Khan’s door, officers heard a single gunshot and an audible groan, the outlet reported. They found Khan dead inside and Ahmad suffering from a mortal gunshot wound.

On her professional website, Khan, a former flight attendant, said she grew up in Tennessee before moving to Chicago in 2021. She had planned to move back to her home state before she was killed.

A friend told the Sun-Times that Khan was a social worker before she became a flight attendant to support herself financially while pursuing her passion for photography.

Others close to Khan told Time magazine that Ahmad was a controlling presence in her life and stifled her with unending scrutiny.

Is my husband loosing his libido?

0 0
Read Time:59 Second

Dear Bunmi,

I am 52 and my husband is five years older. Our sex life used to be average but, lately, he finds it difficult to sustain an erection – sometimes he can’t even get one, in the first place. As it is now, we have not had sex for months, though we both want to.

Is this normal for older men?

Feyi, by e-mail.

Dear Feyi,

Your husband is maybe suffering from what is known as erectile dysfunction, ED, which medical reports say affects one in 10 men. It was once thought to be a normal part of ageing, but physical conditions can also contribute.

Diabetes is a cause. Others include poor blood flow to the penis from furred-up nerve damage, drug abuse, medication, alcoholism, smoking, high cholesterol, diseases affecting erectile tissue and neurological and severe chronic diseases. Most importantly, Stress, lack of Finance,  worry about sexual performance, depression and sexual boredom can be factors too.

At 57, your husband still has a lot of sexual mileage in him.  His doctor can make sure there are no physical causes for his current impotence.  Most men can be treated with tablets such as Viagra.

Fani-Kayode and ex-wife, Precious Chikwendu reunite again

0 0
Read Time:2 Minute, 58 Second
This was a truly surreal and historical moment.
For the first time in two years, totally unexpectedly and out of the blue, and after she took our sons Aragorn, Ragnar, Aiden and Liam out for yet another beautiful outing, Mama Aragorn came to the house to visit with us.
For two years she and I had not seen or spoken to one another, but on Saturday afternoon we spent no less than four hours together in which we talked, laughed and shared some beautiful moments.
It was touching to see members of my household and staff receive her and, led by our first son Aragorn who held her tightly by the hand, usher her through the gates and into the compound as I watched in utter disbelief and surprise from the balcony.
Moments earlier, I had seen them walking down from the top of the road through the CCTV cameras and from the same balcony.
It was a small crowd, led by Aragorn and his mother. They walked slowly with radiant smiles and laughter, whilst a convoy of cars followed them from behind.
It was the dramatic return of a great and beautiful queen who was simply resplendent and who shone as brightly as the morning star.
There are some moments that words cannot capture or express, and this was one of them.
After two long years of contentious silence and acrimonious separation, she graced us with her presence and came home.
It was joy all around to see the return of this great lioness.
Every single one of the 60 people that live and work in our home was happy to see her, and some even shed a few secret tears of joy.
Mama Aragorn displayed such courage, grace, dignity & class.
This was a moment that I shall cherish for many years.
This was a triumph for all lovers of peace and sons and daughters of righteousness.
This was the day that the power of God was made manifest, that joy came to Zuma close and that the Lion of Aso Drive roared in glory, victory, power and strength.
This was a moment that proved beyond all reasonable doubt that patience, restraint, understanding and peace bring nothing but joy and blessings.
This was a moment when light overcame darkness & that the secret prayers of four handsome little Princes were answered.
This was a moment when love, mutual respect, truth and mutual forgiveness triumphed and Satan was put to shame.
Thanks for coming Mama, Aragorn.
We love and appreciate you.
Always did, always will.
And though we have gone our separate ways the bond and cord that exists between us through our four beautiful boys can never be broken.
I also offer my thanks to my loyal and faithful wife and a true Daughter of Zion Mama Remi and to Mama Folake, Nerita, my beautiful daughters Folake and Remi, my son Nicholas and my entire family and household for their collective and unconditional love, understanding, resilience, loyalty, support and patience.
You stood firm, strong and bold and you kept encouraging me even through the raging storm and darkest moments.
Love conquered all and saw us through and so it shall continue to be.
From generation to generation our circle of love, our fellowship, our family, our children and our loved ones shall rise and go from strength to strength.
In every situation and circumstance, we shall prevail and the God that we serve shall never forsake us.
So it is and so it shall be.
God bless you all.

BREAKING: Court steps down Osinachi husband’s case

0 0
Read Time:2 Minute, 49 Second
The alleged culpable homicide suit against Peter Nwachukwu, husband of the late gospel singer, Osinachi in a Federal Capital Territory High Court on Monday, was stepped down in order for his lawyers to align themselves to represent him.
When the matter slated for hearing before Justice Njideka Nwosu-Iheme came up, the Prosecution Counsel, Aderonke Imana, informed the court that the matter was for hearing and that they were ready to proceed.
A. Ogbonna also announced his appearance as watching briefs of the nominal complainant.
The counsel that represented the defendant during his arraignment, Victor Abakpa, however, prayed the court to adjourn the matter until Tuesday, as another lawyer from a different chamber just informed that he was taking over the case.
He further stated that he was equally served additional proof of evidence in the court just before the court started the day’s proceedings.
I.A Aliyu on his part informed the court that he was briefed by the defendant on June 18 to take over the case.
The court, therefore, stepped down the case to 11 am in order for counsel to align themselves and come properly before it.
News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), reports that in Monday’s proceeding, family members of the deceased singer, Osinachi were in court.
Prominent among the family members were her two children, mother, and twin sister.
The matter which was adjourned until June 16, could not go on due to the absence of the judge.
The defendant was earlier arraigned on June 3 and was remanded in Kuje Correctional Centre after he pleaded not guilty to the alleged homicide charge filed against him by the Attorney-General of the Federation.
Nwachukwu was therefore remanded pending the hearing and determination of the 23-count charge bordering on domestic violence and homicide instituted against him.
He was arrested by the Nigeria Police after his wife died on April 8 following widespread allegations by their children, family and colleagues that he battered her leading to her death.
According to the charge, the crime Nwachukwu allegedly committed contravenes Sections 104 and 379 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act, (ACJA) 2015, Section 221 of the Penal Code and the Violence Against Persons Prohibition Act (VAPP) 2015.
The charge partly read: “That you Peter Nwachukwu, 56, male, on the April 8 at Aco Estate, opposite Police Station, Lugbe, Abuja, FCT, within the jurisdiction of this court, did commit an offence to with: culpable homicide punishable with death in that you caused the death of Osinachi.
“This was caused by your various acts of violence and aggravated assault with the knowledge that her death would be the probable consequence of your act.
“Particulars of offence: That you, Peter Nwachukwu, male, sometime between Nov. 14, 2009, and April 2022 at Aco Estate, opposite Police Station, Lugbe, Abuja, FCT, within the jurisdiction of this court, did commit an offence to wit: emotional, verbal and psychological abuse on Mrs Osinachi Nwachukwu (deceased).
“This was caused by humiliating her and making utterances like ‘you are smelling,’ ‘you are mad,’ to her in the presence of her music crew members.”
The statement of offence bordered on emotional, verbal, and psychological abuse contrary to Section 14(1) of the Violence Against Persons (Prohibition) Act, 2015 and punishable under the same section of the Act.
The late Osinachi was popularly known for her song “Ekwueme”

Femi Fani Kayode’s estranged wife is overjoyed to see her children again.

0 0
Read Time:2 Minute, 33 Second

Precious Chikwendu, the estranged wife of Femi Fani- Kayode, the former Minister of Aviation, has expressed joy at reconnecting with her children after over two years apart.

The custody battle for their four children, who have been in their father’s custody, has been a contentious one.

Chikwendu complained in December 2021 that her ex-husband had thwarted all attempts to see her children over the previous year
“The children have been with him since August 2nd, 2020, and I haven’t seen them since.”
“I haven’t seen my children since August 2nd, 2020, and I’ve been physically stopped from visiting them,” she claimed.

Responding to the accusation, FFK countered his ex-wife, noting she had been granted access to the kids for over 17 months but had wilfully refused to visit them.

“Their mother has been given access to see them in the house for the last one year and five months, but she has refused to do so”, he said.

In a new development, the excited mother of four shared photos of beautiful moments with her boys, even if it was just for a few hours.

She appreciated everyone who showed concern while she was away with them.

The former beauty queen wrote: “Dear All, overtime I have learnt to keep my peace and focus on the things I aspire to achieve in my youthfulness rather than the ones that would derail me from my path, but I have to keep everyone updated on what is currently going on, especially for the people who have constantly prayed and fought with me when I was going through the worst time in my life.

“As a mother, my greatest prayer is being able to hug my kids, play with and spend time with them, no matter how little the time. Bearing in mind that God gave me a basic assignment in their lives as a watchman.

“This is a win for us all, I have gone from not seeing them AT ALL for 2 years to spending a few hours (Play Date)with them and also tending to one who wasn’t well as at the time I was reached. That is all that it is currently, but I believe their Father has a change of mind and is working out a process for peaceful co-parenting, as wars always have a long-lasting effect to both parties regardless.

“Please be patient with me as I am basking in this little joy and win for a little longer as well as soaking it all in as I figure a way to put all issues to rest without drama.

“Thank you all so very much for the messages and well wishes. Thanks to my concerned elders.

“Their Father (through his aides) and some good people around him are in talks to see to it that my children grow up having balanced love and affection from both sides.

“I am hoping this leads to an end in media wars and to a peaceful co-parenting as we move on to achieve our various destinies apart.”

Osinachi: FG Slams 23-Count Charge Against Husband, Nwachukwu

0 0
Read Time:3 Minute, 20 Second

The Attorney-General of the Federation has filed 23-count charges against Peter Nwachukwu, the husband of late gospel artist, Osinachi, who died in April after she was allegedly assaulted by her spouse.

He was charged under sections 104 and 379 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act, 2015 and culpable homicide contrary to section 221 of the Penal Code which is punishable with death.

The case with charge number, CR/199/2022, was filed at the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, on May 20, 2022, by the Head, Sexual and Gender-Based Violence, Department of Public Prosecutions of the Federation, Ministry of Justice, Mrs Yewande Gbola-Awopetun.

The prosecutor accused the defendant of forcefully ejecting the deceased from the family home, contrary to the VAP Act, adding that he also attempted culpable homicide by pushing Osinachi out of a moving vehicle.

The Federal Government further alleged that the defendant deprived the deceased of her personal liberty by restraining her movement and locking her up in the house.

Nwachukwu was equally accused of emotional, verbal and psychological abuse contrary to section 14(1) of the VAP Act, 2015.

The defendant was said to have denied Osinachi access to her money for medication and household necessities and forced her into begging and borrowing.

The charge further alleges that Osinachi’s husband forcefully isolated and separated her from her family by preventing the deceased’s mother and siblings from visiting her matrimonial home.

Nwachukwu was similarly accused of cruelly beating the children and recording their cry and playing it on his phone, noting that he threatened the children and prevented them from reporting the acts of domestic violence against their mother to his pastor, Dr Paul Enenche or any other person.

One of the count reads, “That you Peter Nwachukwu, 56, male, on the 8th of April, 2022 at Aco Estate, opposite police station, Lugbe, Abuja, FCT, within the jurisdiction of this honourable court, did commit an offence to with: culpable homicide punishable with death in that you caused the death of Mrs Osinachi Nwachukwu by your various acts of violence and aggravated assault with the knowledge that her death would be the probable consequence of your acts.”

Another count reads, “Statement of offence: Emotional, verbal and psychological abuse contrary to section 14(1) of the Violence Against Persons (Prohibition) Act, 2015 and punishable under the same section of the Act.

“Particular of offence: That you, Peter Nwachukwu, male, sometime between 14th November 2009 and April 2022 at Aco Estate, opposite police station, Lugbe, Abuja, FCT, within the jurisdiction of this honourable court, did commit an offence to wit: emotional, verbal and psychological abuse on Mrs Osinachi Nwachukwu (deceased) by humiliating her and making utterances like ‘you are smelling,’ ‘you are mad,’ to her in the presence of her music crew members.”

Channels Television had earlier reported that the popular Nigerian gospel singer who came into the limelight with the hit, “Ekwueme”, which she sang alongside Prospa Ochimana, reportedly died on Friday, April 8 in an Abuja hospital.

It was not immediately clear what the cause of her death was, however, an autopsy was carried out by the FCT Police Command and the result was forwarded to the Director of Public Prosecution for vetting and possible prosecution.

The police also did not give details of the autopsy, but there have been several allegations by family members of the deceased, including her children and other close associates, suggesting that the gospel singer had lived under the torture of her husband during their years of marriage.

This sparked public outcry and national discourse on gender violence, with the police arresting Peter Nwachukwu, the alleged wife beater, with deeper investigations being conducted.

During a meeting between the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Usman Allali Baba and the Minister of Women Affairs, Pauline Tallen as well as the family members of Osinachi, the police boss assured that the matter would be investigated thoroughly and prosecuted in accordance with the law.

Researchers to identify when you can insult your friend’s ex

0 0
Read Time:56 Second

SCIENTISTS are hoping to identify the earliest point at which you can tell your friend their ex was a nightmare.

Traditionally-established timescales have proven unreliable, with many people having to retract vile but accurate insults when the relationship restarts.

Researchers have now begun work on a complex formula to calculate the right time to ask a friend what in the name of god they were thinking.

Dr Julian Cook said: “Factors will include length and closeness of friendship and the extent to which the ex was so utterly hellish and unbearable.”

Tom Logan, from Hatfield, added: “My friend finally ended a three-year relationship with her boyfriend when he sold her house to buy a speedboat, which he then crashed into a roundabout.

“I resisted my natural instinct to throw her a ‘thank Christ for that’ party and ended up being accused of negligence because I hadn’t told her that he was a colossal twat.

“Hopefully I’ll have another shot at getting it right as she’s just started dating an ex-squaddie.”
