Bianca Odumegwu Ojukwu responds to Mbaka and says about Peter Obi’s supposed ‘Stinginess’

Sometime in 2009, ‘Mr’ (as he preferred to be addressed) Peter Obi, Governor Of Anambra State at the time, visited Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu and myself in Dallas, Texas. He came to deliver a get-well message from Dr Good luck Jonathan and was billed to attend a black-tie event at the Dallas Marriot. Curiously, he flew into Dallas airport with one small carry-on luggage which he insisted on wheeling around himself, and on getting to our residence requested to freshen up. He opened his carry-on, filled with files and paperwork and a few toiletries and an extra shirt; when the Ikemba and I asked if he was expecting another item of luggage, he said no.
‘Then, what will you be wearing to the event tonight?’, we inquired.
Then, it struck him that he couldn’t show up in his casuals at such a ceremony. I insisted on taking him to the luxury men’s emporium at Nieman Marcus to buy a smart black suit. When we got there, he was busy doing the currency conversions. The suit that was a perfect match for him was a dapper Tom Ford suit with a price tag of 3,985 dollars plus tax.
He did the calculations and told me ‘do you know how many students this amount of money can train in Nigeria?’ I reminded him that he was the governor, and for the calibre of guests expected at that evening’s event including the mayor, senators and captains of conglomerates, he needed to be dressed in top form.
To cut the story short, he refused to pay what he termed that ‘outrageous’ price for the suit, and that was how we ended up at Steinmart where he agreed to pay a more acceptable price of 220 dollars, tax inclusive for a basic men’s suit which he was happy to wear to that evening’s event.
What struck me was that as we were on the way to the airport to see him off for his return flight back to Nigeria, he reached for his pocket where he brought out an envelope of crisp hundred-dollar bills. The amount in the envelope was 3,800 dollars. He said, ‘Anyanwu, this is the balance of the money I would have paid for the ‘Ford’ suit. If the label on the suit was ‘Peter Obi’, I am wondering if anybody in America will pay that amount for it. I have deducted the amount we paid for the suit we eventually paid for. Please use this balance for your Charity foundation to help those in actual need. I trust you will do so’.
We all laughed heartily. Vintage Peter Obi !
The eventual beneficiaries of that largesse were Madam Theresa Agbo, a yam seller who was displaced when her shed was gutted by fire, Callistus Egbe who was bedridden due to illness and needed help with the school fees of his young children, and the Mgbemena family of six who was thrown out of their accommodation (which we subsequently doubled to two rooms) because their breadwinner fell upon hard times and could no longer afford the rent.
In life, you either live by a creed or you desecrate the mould by which the Almighty created you. Any progressive nation measures an individual by his values, not his vaults.
If this way of life is what is derided as ‘stinginess’ on the part of Peter Obi, then we all need to adopt this mould for a more sustainable and more humane environment.

The Rev Fr Oluoma of the Catholic Archdiocese of Abuja penned an iconic reply to Fr Ejike Mbaka’s allegations that Mr Peter Obi is not fit to be the President of Nigeria because he is stingy. Read the article below
I love this stingy man who gives money to the right people.
I love this stingy man who doesn’t drink champagne with the public fund but uses it to improve their lives.
I love this stingy man whose integrity is top-notch and who can’t be deceived into showing off in public.
I love this stingy man who loves the poor masses more than himself…
I love this STINGY MAN who has refused to collect a pension from the Anambra State government since he left. This is what those people who are seen as givers do.
I love this stinky man for coming out to save the ordinary Nigerians.
Mr Peter Obi, the truth is that we DON’T DESERVE YOU, but in all your dealings, may the Heavens bless and enrich you.
I am a Catholic priest and I pray too. May these blessings follow you, child of God.
Peter is Better!

BBNaija Reunion Day 10: Cross Rejects N20m From ‘CrossKay’ Fans, Jaypaul Accuses Saskay Of Denying Him[VIDEO]

Read Time:1 Minute, 21 Second

The tenth episode of the Shine Ya Eye Reunion finally addressed one of the season’s most famous triangles.

Since the end of the season 6 show, the JayPaul, Saskay and Cross dynamics have suffered irrevocable setbacks that have ruined any chance of remaining friends.

Here are the highlights, in case you missed them:

Jaypaul vs Saskay

During the reunion show, Jaypaul accused Saskay of making an infamous comment in the lines of not knowing who he was. JayPaul also cited instances where he repeatedly made moves to maintain a healthy friendship with her but she was hellbent on denying him “more times than Judas denied Jesus Christ.”

Reacting, Saskay claimed Jaypaul was being untruthful and had high expectations from a relationship that they never labelled.

Cross vs Saskay

The BBNaija star also revealed that he rejected N20m from fans who wanted him to be in a relationship with Saskay. He said that he rejected the deals because he wanted to be on his own.

In response, Saskay did not deny his accusations but added that Cross only apologized for the voice note that leaked. Cross and Saskay confirmed the crash of their once rosy friendship after Ebuka Uchendu asked the both of them if their relationship is truly over.

Mbaka kicks against Stingy Peter Obi becoming Nigeria’s next president.

0 0
Read Time:1 Minute, 52 Second

Passionate Enugu-based Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, has declared that the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, can never become Nigeria’s president.
Mbaka, who made the declaration at his Adoration Ministry ground in Enugu, said unless God ceases to exist, Obi would never lead Africa’s most populous nation as it better to have an old man as president than a ‘stingy young man’.
“A stingy man that cannot give people his money, with this hunger ravaging the land, and you are saying he is the one you want; you want to die of hunger? Are you people insane? Where is the Holy Spirit?
“It is now that [PDP candidate Abubakar] Atiku is seriously contesting for president; now that he is contesting without Peter Obi; it is now that he is serious. We want somebody that is serious. Unless Peter comes here to kneel, if he becomes president, he will close down this ministry. What we are doing is spiritual,” said Mbaka.
“Listen, a good old man is better than a young wicked man. Peter Obi is going nowhere as far as God lives. If Igbos want a representative, it is not someone like Peter Obi.

“I should not have talked but I saw my video going round everywhere as if Fr. Mbaka wholeheartedly came out and apologized. No, I didn’t apologize wholeheartedly, it was out of duress. I had to obey my Bishop, in obedience I had to; it is not of my volition. I did it because I am a Catholic priest. My Bishop said, ‘do it’, my own is ‘Yes my Lord’.
“I did not say he is a bad man; I said he is a stingy man. A hungry man wants someone that is generous; the man has so much money, but he is ‘I, me, myself’. But that money will not be useful to him. I am very happy now that I have spoken out. That apology is a poisonous curse against Peter Obi.

“If he is wise he should have come here after that apology to say he is sorry but he waited. Anybody supporting him is wasting his money, he is going nowhere.”

MBAKA, THE PULPIT BUCCANEER

1 0
Read Time:2 Minute, 50 Second

It was in 2002 that Mbaka first unravelled. That year, he would gather his congregation at the Adoration Ministry and ask everyone to start pointing at the Lion Building (Enugu Govt house) while commanding Holy Ghost fire against the then governor Chimaroke Nnamani whom he said was a wicked Governor who God already told him would not live beyond that year not to talk of winning the 2003 re-election. This man didn’t just stop at this weekly harvest of Holy Ghost fire against the governor, he actually went a step further to release a special audio tape titled “This Wicked Generation” in which he swore that if Chimaroke won his 2003 reelection bid, he (Mbaka) would know he was not serving a living God and would therefore resign as a Priest.

2003 election came and governor Chimaroke won his re-election, finished his second term and even contested and won another election as a Senator. As I type, Chimaroke is currently in the senate TWENTY YEARS after. And he just secured another ticket to go to the Senate again in 2023 and is set to be the Enugu state governor come 2023 BY PROXY.
Mbaka neither resigned as he swore he would, nor did he even apologize for lying in God’s name.

This is Mbaka for you. A religious Ponzi Master who praises anyone who gives him money, even if that person killed a million innocent people to make that money. And once you refuse to give him money, you become an enemy. Recall how he lamented that the presidency no longer picks his call, which was exactly why he started attacking the same Buhari whom he was praising in 2019 at a time it was obvious that his Govt has been a disaster.

If you know Mbaka so well, you won’t wonder why he said a man who throws money around, even if it is stolen from public funds, is better for Nigeria of today than another man who refuses to PUBLICLY announce his donation to the church even when doing so would have earned him some political capital but instead, requested to be taken to the project site, that he could even single-handedly execute the project for the church. And this same man went and donated N100,000000 to Bishop Shanahan Specialist Hospital Nsukka (BSSHN) to upgrade its School of Nursing and Midwifery to a College. BSSHN is a missionary hospital owned and managed by Nsukka Catholic Diocese.

Between PUBLICLY giving money to Mbaka, without seeing any project for which he intends to use the money, And donating a whopping N100,000000 to upgrade an academic HEALTH institution owned by the church, WHICH ONE SERVES HUMANITY AND GOD BETTER????
I’m happy that Nigerians are waking up. Integrrity-challenged morally bankrupt cr00ks can no longer continue to hold us, hostage, simply because they are wearing a white cassock.

My only disappointment is with the mother church for refusing to wield the big stick on this charlatan. How can one emotionally truncated man hold the mother church hostage in this manner? I grew up as an Altar Boy at Sacred Heart Parish Akpugo and I know one or two things about the level of Organizational Discipline in the Catholic Church. Mbaka is successfully making nonsense of all that while my Lord Bishop watches on. A shame, isn’t it?

Fr Mbaka is afraid that Peter Obi will close his adoration ministry and swears that he will not become president.

Yesterday was a bad day for us. Amid a growing hardship and growing embrace of Mr Peter Obi, it is very unfortunate that we still have a priest who preaches hate when his colleagues are preaching love and the need to collect PVC’s and vote for Obi.
Yesterday’s attack by the respected Priest, Fr Ejike Mbaka on our Leader, Mr Peter Obi in particular was unwarranted and unhelpful. It served as a serious distraction from the task at hand, which is to encourage us to work together and ensure he emerges the President to arrest our haemorrhaging resources through his outstanding frugality in the use of resources, which obviously conflicts with the extravagant leadership style the priest is accustomed to.
The Obidients need to get back on track in terms of focusing on what we need to do to promote our candidates instead of dwelling on what I consider a subjective view of a Priest who identified with the present government and considered it divine intervention.
Please do not join words with him, instead pray for him as this is his lowest moment. Also, remind him that Mr Peter Obi is not vindictive and would not close his adoration ground. The priest is free to vote for the dollar-sharing candidates of other parties.
