As the Super Eagles of Nigeria lock horns with the Stallions of Burkina Faso on Sunday in the final match cracker of the 29th edition of the Orange African Cup of Nation, South Africa 2013, DailyPost can authoritatively reveal that over 113 commercial sex workers otherwise known as prostitutes have stormed the city of Johannesburg to cheer the Super Eagles to victory.
In a brief chat with one of the top ringleaders of Association of Nigerian Prostitutes (ANP), in Abuja on Saturday, it was learnt that the prostitutes left for South Africa Friday night aboard a popular airline (name withheld).
According to the source, the prostitutes were ready to do anything in other for the Super Eagles to return home with the trophy after 13 years.
“Our initial plan was to fly at least 500 members down there but along the line some of our sponsors disappointed us. We were not discouraged by that anyway, we made a promise and we must fulfil it.” She said. When asked if the one week free sex as earlier promised by the association would still hold if the Nigeria carries the day, the optimistic source directed us to general secretary of the Association of Nigerian Prostitutes (ANP), Jessica Elvis.
{div width:260|height:260|float:left}{module Codewit Sqaure 250 x250}{/div} Her words: “See bros, I’m not in the right position to talk about that, I would advise you to call Jessy (referring to Jessica Elvis) who is our gen-sec, she would tell you all you need to know about that.”
When our correspondent contacted Jessica she told this reporter to keep his finger cross for the big show.
“Yes, our members left Nigeria yesterday (Friday) night for South Africa to cheer the Super Eagles to victory and we pray and hope for Nigeria to carry the day.”
Asked how many of them left for South Africa Jessica said, “Just wait for the big show or you can come down to Lagos for our pre victory party tonight.”
Asked if the pre victory party would be gated, she angrily said, “My president directed me not to talk to the press until after the match, we’ll address the media after the match,” she added.
The association had earlier promised to declare one week of free sex if the Super Eagles emerge winner of the competition

Boeing Co completed what it called an uneventful flight on Saturday of a test 787 Dreamliner, its first since the airplanes were grounded more than three weeks ago after a series of battery-related problems.
The test flight to gather detailed information on the airplane's lithium-ion batteries lasted two hours and 19 minutes, taking off from and returning to Boeing Field in Seattle, Boeing said.
"The crew reports that the flight was uneventful," Boeing said in a statement.
The 50 Dreamliners in commercial service were grounded worldwide on January 16 after a series of battery-related incidents including a fire on board a parked 787 at Boston's Logan International Airport and an in-flight problem on another airplane in Japan, reports Reuters.
The groundings have cost airlines tens of millions of dollars, with no solution yet in sight.
The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration said on Thursday it would allow 787 test flights, under more stringent rules, to monitor the batteries in flight.
Boeing said the information gathered during the flight was part of the investigations into the battery events that occurred in January and that additional details could not be shared.
The airplane is Boeing's fifth 787 flight test airplane, marked as ZA005, and the only member of the test fleet in service. The flight had a crew of 13, including pilots and testing personnel, Boeing said.
Boeing said no flights of the airplane were planned on Sunday, but it planned to resume flights early in the coming week. Boeing does not provide advance flight schedules.

A repeat of Nigeria and Burkina Faso’s opening Group C match is on the cards Sunday to determine who will bear the toga African champions for the next two years. Up for grabs asides bragging rights is a spot in Group B of the FIFA Confederations Cup alongside Spain, Uruguay and Tahiti in Brazil a few months away (June to be precise).
Friendly internationals with the leading soccer powers will also be a fallout of Sunday’s game, not to talk of the possibility of individual players earning (or improving on) lucrative deals with the foremost club sides in world football.
Africa’s soccer fiesta is known for throwing up surprises, Zambia’s victory at last year’s event buttressing this point. Nigeria, despite being a traditional power in the game, was not expected to play in today’s showpiece. The manner of reaching today’s final has been even more surprising – pleasantly if you are Nigerian – as the Nigerian team upped the ante with a scintillating 2-1 victory over tournament favourites, Cote d’Ivoire, in the quarter final and a 4-1 mauling of Mali in the Semi.
Burkina Faso, if anything, are more surprising finalists. Many Nigerians probably heard the country’s name for the first time after they were famously beaten 7-1 by Nigeria in an AFCON final in the early ‘90s. The present incarnation have however proven to be resilient and hard to beat. Like Nigeria, they are unbeaten so far but success has been built on a tight defence and hard work.
The Stallions showed the stuff they are made of in their first match at this competition, clawing back draw with a 94th minute equalizer. The only other goal they have conceded apart from that given away to Emmanuel Emenike was a penalty against Ghana in the semi finals.
They will be in the final for the first time in their history, while Nigeria will be contesting their seventh, despite winning only two.
This means the best attack in this year’s AFCON will faceoff against its best defence. Both teams are also the only ones to have hit the four goal mark, ensuring that against all odds, these two teams have earned their place in the final with the winner surely earning the title of Africa’s best.
ROAD TO THE FINAL
Seven-time finalists Nigeria and first timers Burkina Faso will clash Sunday for this year’s Africa Cup of Nations trophy. After two drawn games in Nigeria’s first two games, the Super Eagles hit the expected rhythm as a team with three big wins to reach today’s final showdown against fellow West Africans Burkina Faso.
Nigeria 1 Burkina Faso 1
The Super Eagles draw their opening group game 1-1 with Burkina Faso with Emmanuel Emenike giving Nigeria the lead before substitute Alain Traore put the Stallions back on equal pegging. Nigeria played one man short after defender Efe Ambrose was harshly sent off after his second booking.
Nigeria 1 Zambia 1
This high-profile group showdown against defending champions Zambia produced another draw. Emenike was again the hero for the Eagles with the opening goal, before goalkeeper Kennedy Mweene tucks away an equaliser from the penalty spot after a controversial award by the Egyptian referee. With Eagles needing a win to progress to the knock out stage, Stephen Keshi and his wards need no preaching to get the job done against Ethiopia.
Ethiopia 0 Nigeria 2
It took 10 minutes of magic from Victor Moses who won two penalties and stepped forward on both occasions to fire Nigeria into the last eight.
Nigeria 2 Cote d’Ivoire 1
The Eagles faced the top favourites, but against all odds, they beat the Didier Drogba-led Ivorian team. The Super Eagles played the game of their lives to fly past the Elephants with home-based playe Sunday Mba sealing the victory with a top-class finish.
Mali 1 Nigeria 4
The Eagles were no doubt the favourites after the big win over Cote d’Ivoire in the quarterfinals and they made short work of Mali with three goals in the first half. Nigeria eventually mauled Mali 4-1.
Burkina Faso made history by reaching the AFCON final for the first time in their history. To reach the last two, Burkina Faso topped in a group that had champions Zambia and Nigeria. Like the Eagles, they are yet to lose in South Africa.
Burkina Faso 1 Nigeria 1
Burkina Faso surprised bookmakers by recording a 1-1 draw with Nigeria in their opening game. They fought back after pressuring an Eagles defence that had a man sent off.
Ethiopia 0 Burkina Faso 4
The Stallions recorded the biggest win of the 2013 AFCON with 4-0 bashing of Ethiopia to boost their chances of making it to quarter final. Talisman Alain Traore netted a brace as they overran The Walia Antelopes for a deserved victory.
Zambia 0 Burkina Faso 0
Burkina Faso did everything to get the needed result to advance beyond group stage against Zambia. Knowing fully well that a draw will be enough for them to proceed, their game plan was to secure it, but star man Traore was ruled out of the tournament after an early thigh injury.
Togo 0 Burkina Faso 1
Burkina Faso booked their place in the semifinal for only second time in history with a hard-earned 1-0 win over Emmanuel Adebayor’s Togo after extra time to zoom into the last four.
Burkina Faso 1 Ghana 1 (3-2 aet)
Burkina Faso made history by going all the way to the AFCON final by upsetting tournament favourites Ghana. Scores stood at 1-1 after extra time before the Stallions edged past the Black Stars on penalties. Jonathan Pitroipa who got an undeserved second yellow card and sending off, was cleared Friday evening by CAF to play in today’s final clash with the Super Eagles

Los Angeles police will re-examine the 2008 firing of an officer wanted in three slayings, the police chief said on Saturday as a massive manhunt for the fugitive stretched from a southern California mountaintop to the Mexican border.
Police Chief Charlie Beck called on the former officer Christopher Dorner, 33, to turn himself in and tell his side of the story. Dorner was dismissed after officials found he had made false statements accusing another officer of using excessive force, reports Reuters.
One of the three people Dorner is accused of killing this week is the 28-year-old daughter of a retired police captain who represented him in a disciplinary action that led to his firing. He is also wanted for the killing of the young woman's fiance and an officer from the town of Riverside.
Dorner posted an online manifesto this week that declared war on law enforcement and complained of his 2008 firing. Some online commentators have expressed support for Dorner and aired grievances against police.
Beck said in a statement he was not re-opening the probe into Dorner's firing "to appease a murderer."
"I do it to reassure the public that their police department is transparent and fair in all the things we do," he said.
Beck's decision was first reported by local television station KCBS, which carried a lengthy interview with him.
Officials have called on Dorner to surrender.
"He can turn himself in anywhere and he'll be taken into custody and he'll be able to get his side of the story out," LAPD spokesman Commander Andrew Smith told reporters.
Police details in southern California are protecting more than 50 officers and their families who have been threatened by Dorner, after he named specific enemies in the department in his rambling manifesto, Smith said.
Police also plan to bolster their force of officers standing guard at the Grammy Awards in downtown Los Angeles on Sunday, he said.
Police have said they believe Dorner has multiple weapons, including an assault-style rifle. He claimed in his manifesto to possess Russian-made shoulder-launched missile systems, but that could not be confirmed.

(BBC) -The outgoing commander of NATO forces in Afghanistan has said the alliance is on the road to winning the war.
Gen John Allen said troops had gone "a long way" towards creating conditions for winning in a counter-insurgency.
The White House has said it will nominate Gen Allen as the alliance's supreme commander in Europe.
Last month, he was cleared of misconduct by the Pentagon in a scandal that led former CIA director David Petraeus to resign.
Gen Allen is handing over command to Marine Corps Gen Joseph Dunford.
"Counter-insurgencies take a while and it is difficult to put a dot on a calendar and say, 'Today, we won'," Gen Allen told the BBC.
"I think we have gone a long way to setting the conditions for what, generally, usually, is the defining factor in winning a counter-insurgency – to set the conditions for governance, to set the conditions for economic opportunity…. I think we are on the road to winning."
During his 19-month tour, Gen Allen managed the transfer of security across much of the country to the Afghan army and police.
His successor is expected to be ISAF's last commander, who will oversee the withdrawal of most of the foreign troops in the country.
There has not been any official announcement from the White House as to how many US troops will remain.
But Gen Allen said that the idea of no American military presence in the country was not an option, and that he had not even been asked to look at its feasibility.
"It's no direction that we intend to go. The president was clear talking about the presence of US forces in this case in the post-2014 period being orientated on training, advising and assisting so that was an indication to me, having not been asked, that the zero option is probably not on the table."
Gen Allen's nomination to head NATO in Europe had been put on hold amid reports that he had sent inappropriate emails to a Florida socialite, in a scandal that brought down the head of the CIA.
But allegations of professional misconduct were dismissed and the then Defence Secretary Leon Panetta said he had "complete confidence" in Gen Allen's leadership.

British Prime Minister David Cameron conceded on Sunday that Scotland had what it takes to be an independent nation, but said it currently enjoyed "the best of both worlds", imploring it not to break the United Kingdom apart.
Stepping up his government's campaign to hold Britain together ahead of an independence referendum expected next year, Cameron urged Scotland not to sever a union with England that dates back 306 years, reports Reuters.
"Put simply: Britain works. Britain works well. Why break it?" he wrote in an article published in Scottish newspapers.
"This big question is for Scotland to decide. But the answer matters to all of our United Kingdom. Scotland is better off in Britain. We're all better off together and poorer apart."
Cameron's political future and historic legacy are on the line. He has pledged to contest the next British general election in 2015 and his own Conservative party would never forgive him if he presided over the break-up of a United Kingdom comprising England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
London's main parties are campaigning jointly against independence, knowing that Alex Salmond's Scottish National Party (SNP) is an astute and highly motivated political machine that will spare no effort to win a vote on its flagship policy.
Tapping into an emotive cocktail of historical rivalry, opposing political tastes, and a perception that the British parliament in London does not nurture Scotland's national interests, the "Yes Scotland" campaign wants independence to be a reality by 2016.

Prophet TB Joshua’s wife of 23 years, Evelyn Joshua, recently revealed in an explosive interview on how she met the world acclaimed man of God, Prophet T.B. Joshua. The eloquent woman also talked about how she ended up being his better half at the age of 17 in 1990 and her role in his ministry.
I visited a sister somewhere at Ikotun-Egbe and they were all talking about a particular man, a prophet. Half of the people in the room had all met him and they were saying a lot of good things about him. After everything, I asked my sister if she could take me to him. I needed a spiritual guide at the time. A counselor. So we went there but unfortunately didn't meet him at home. Some months later I visited him again alone, that was in 1990.
Before this time, the idea I had about this prophet was that he was an old man, with a long white beard. So on that day I was reading a novel that I came with when I suddenly saw someone come into the room, pick one or two things and went back. The person I saw wasn't an old man so I didn't pay him any attention. But when he went back to the consulting room, one of the people also waiting to speak with him said 'that's him'. {div width:250|height:250|float:right}{module Codewit Sqaure 250 x250|table}{/div} When it eventually my turn to see him, we sat opposite each other. He was gazing at me for a few minutes, and I was also gazing at him. Transfixed as I was, I saw him write something on a piece of paper, 'Ejide' (means twin has come). I'm a twin.
Then we started talking and he told a lot of things about myself, both things I knew and the ones I didn't know. He told me about my family, about my past, about my future. Altogether we spoke for about forty five minutes. At the end of the whole thing he spoke to me in Yoruba. He said (translated in English) 'Please don't be annoyed. Don't think this is how I talk to everyone that comes to me. I don't have a concubine and I don't want to have a concubine. But will you marry me?'
Just like that. It was strange, but that gives me an insight into what the scripture says that the spirit testifies with our spirit that we are God's children. That was how I met him. When he proposed to me my heart agreed with it instantly. Some months later I asked him why he thought it was right seeing a lady for the first time and proposing to her. He said he had seen me four days before that day. I don't know if it was in a dream or a revelation. We had our traditional and church wedding a few months later.

This is the story of a young boy whose parents were murdered during 2002 riots in Kaduna.
He was aged 11 years at the time. His parents, Mr Austine and Mrs Josephine Moses, were missionaries until they met their untimely death.
The boy left his house to play football but returned home to see that all his parents had laboured for had been razed down and he would never see his mother and father again.
He was taken to London by his uncle almost immediately after the incident. While in London, he began deploying his football skills.
Though his parents were murdered, his passion for football was never killed. He played football for his school and later for a local Tandrige League club until Crystal Palace FC approached him. From that point, his career progressed in leaps and bounds.
This player played for England’s under 16, 17, 19 and 21 teams between 2005 and 2010 scoring 11 goals for England during this period. He later moved to Wigan Athletic and now he plays for Chelsea.
This footballer is called VICTOR MOSES.
His story is a touching one, I share his pains. I also share his courage. He had a choice not to step into Nigeria again but he didn’t take that option. When the call to serve his fatherland came, Moses dumped England and embraced Nigeria…That is patriotism!
Today, we see a Victor Moses bringing joy to every Nigerian including those who may have inspired his parent’s death…That is Love!
On Sunday, Moses would stand for the National Anthem and pledge allegiance to a country that couldn’t defend his parents…That is faith!
Moses would deliver the “African Cup of Nations” trophy to Nigeria not minding what had happened in the past… That is forgiveness!
Moses rose through bitterness and despair to the limelight of hope and courage.
He never gave up on his country. He persevered… That is purpose!
If someone like Victor Moses, despite the bitter past, never gave up on Nigeria, then why should we….! ONE NIGERIA

The General Overseer of The Synagogue Church Of All Nations, Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua, says Nigeria’s Super Eagles would defeat Burkina Faso in Sunday’s final of the Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa.
T.B. Joshua, who warned Eagles’ coach, Stephen Keshi to avoid conceding a late minute goal in their AFCON Group C opener against the Burkinabe, told Codewit NEWS correspondent that Nigeria’s case in the Nations Cup final this year is like the biblical Jacob who wrestled with God, saying that “on Sunday we’ll tell God unless He gives us our heart’s desire we’ll not let Him go.
“The cloud is darker over Nigeria’s Super Eagles, but with God we’ll scale through. If it were not to be the final, anything could have happened. The first match we played with Burkina Faso, it was just by the grace of God that it ended in a draw. “On Sunday, our opponents will play defensively because they will be looking out for penalty shootout at the end of the game. They will also play through three of their strikers upfront; one of them very tall and huge player and two others.
“What I’m seeing I don’t want to say it because it would be too frightening, but I want to assure that we’ll scale through the challenge on Sunday.”
The prophet who established a football club, My People FC to groom young players, however, warned the Eagles not to allow Burkina Faso to score first in the final, saying that “if this happened the Burkinabe would fall back to defend the goal, which will be very dangerous for our team. I still repeat that no matter the situation, we’ll scale through.
“The Burkina Faso that we played in the group stage will not be the same team we’ll play on Sunday, even though some of their players are out of the squad due to injuries. They are still a team. But I hope for celebration.”
Joshua said as the giant of Africa, Nigeria last won the Nations Cup 13 years ago, which was too long ago for a great football nation like Nigeria.
“I think God should give us this cup to make the youths of this country happy. Winning this cup at this time of religious intolerance and violence will calm down the youths. I want to appeal to all Nigerians to pray for Eagles’ victory. I would have told you the scoreline but I would rather delay it till Sunday morning in order not psychologically distract the players and their coaches and not to demoralise the losing team.”
Prophet Joshua concluded that he would not want Keshi and his team to come to his church to celebrate their victory after the match because he is not the only one praying for the Eagles to win.
“My voice may be the one louder among the men of God in the country but this doesn’t mean that the team should come to my church to celebrate. I would rather prefer that they celebrate their victory with all Nigerians,”

Villagers near the city of Gao in northern Mali on Saturday detained two youths alleged to have had explosives strapped to their bodies near the site of a suicide attack the previous day claimed by Islamist rebels, a witness said.
“We arrested two young men early this morning. They had explosive belts and they were riding on two donkeys,” Oumar Maiga, the son of the local village chief, told AFP.
He said the pair, an Arab and a Tuareg, were detained some 20 kilometres (12 miles) north of Gao, the largest city in the north, on the same road where Friday’s attack occurred.
French-led troops have driven the Islamist insurgents who occupied northern Mali for 10 months out of the towns they controlled, but continue to come under attack in reclaimed territory.
Friday’s bombing, the first suicide attack in Mali, wounded a Malian soldier at a military checkpoint. It was claimed by the Movement for Oneness and Jihad in West Africa (MUJAO), an offshoot of Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM).
The area around Gao has been on high alert since the bombing and a series of landmine explosions and guerrilla attacks.
Ordinary citizens often take justice into their own hands in Mali, detaining suspected criminals and even beating or lynching them.
