Wike-led Rivers State Government finally collapses

… 19 Students return from UK, SSANU-RSUST protests, LG Council owed 3 months pay

The Rivers State Chapter of All Progressives Congress, APC, notes that its earlier warnings that the government of Governor Nyesom Wike would collapse in matter of months has actually come to pass.

The most important sign worthy of mention is that the deceit of the Wike government has been exposed by a string of events that are developing at the moment. Indeed, it shows that every lie has an expiry date.

The APC recalls sending out an early alert to Rivers people that the Wike-led government is a fraud and lacking in moral foundation. We also raised the alarm that the government does not have any meaningful agenda as it only set up a committee to draw up a blue print after it had been sworn in on May 29, 2015.

Sadly, all the warnings by the APC have started manifesting even in greater proportions.

Yesterday, 19 students on the scholarship of the state government through its agency, the Rivers State Sustainable Development Agency [RSSDA] were forced to abandon their studies and return to Nigeria because the state government had not paid their fees and upkeep in the United Kingdom. Those in Canada and other locations are also expected to return soon for same reasons.

Earlier this week, the RSUST Chapter of Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities [SSANU] went on a protest and warning strike due to the mindless hiking of fees of the university’s primary and secondary demonstration schools by the state government.

Local Government Councils in the state have been unable to pay their staff salaries for August and September while some such as Opobo/Nkoro owe their personnel salaries from July 2015 to date. Investigations reveal that the governor harvested funds of the local councils to compromise judges of the election petition tribunals at Abuja while workers have since withdrawn their children and wards from schools due to the parents’ inability to pay their school fees.

Students and teachers of the state-of-the-arts Nne Furo Kurubo Model Secondary School, Eleme who have been home since March cannot resume because the government has not provided necessary funds for the running of the school. The Indian managers of the school, the teachers, students and parents have since been pleading with the government for help without response.

On the part of security, despite the tremendous efforts of the new Rivers State Commissioner of Police, CP Musa Kimo, to tackle crime in the state, activities of cultists, kidnappers, armed robbers and sundry criminals abound across the state.

Early this week, bandits attacked and robbed inhabitants of Alasakri fishing settlement, near Bonny where they robbed each and every household for 6 hours, carting away belongings and maiming some of the fishermen and their family members. This is in addition to the fact that armed robbers routinely invade the Oyorokoto Fishing Settlement in Andoni, leaving death and destruction behind.

During his administration, the former governor, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, at great discomfort, managed to fund the overseas scholarship scheme, the Nne Furo Kurubo Model Secondary School, Eleme and many other key establishments of the state. Things were not allowed to degenerate to the stage where our children overseas are now forced to abandon their studies and return home despite media hype by the present government that it has settled the students’ tuition and upkeep. The truth is that this is another lie that has now expired.

The APC would like to empathise with the people and residents of the state over the present ugly cloud hanging over the state and would urge everyone to remain prayerful as God’s intervention must surely come.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has tendered fresh evidence against the former Governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido and his two sons, Aminu and Mustapha, in order to establish the money laundering charge it had brought against the family in July.

The anti-graft agency on Wednesday, October 21, tendered before the Federal High Court in Abuja, details of bank accounts that were allegedly used by the accused persons to siphon public funds,

When Lamido, his sons and an accomplice, Wada Abubakar, were first arrested on July 9 in Kano, the EFCC had slammed them with a 28-count charge. They were later re-arraigned on September 22.

Now, they are facing an amended 27-count criminal charge bordering on corruption, money laundering, breach ‎of trust and illegal diversion of public funds to the tune of N1.35billion.

White couple claim Michael Jackson’s ghost impregnated woman and are suing for child support

Read Time:1 Minute, 48 Second

A 32-year-old Los Angeles woman is claiming that she was impregnated by the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, and is now suing his estate. Kiera Johnson, the married mother of two, claims that she was raped by the ghost of Michael Jackson – and her white husband Ken Johnson is sticking by her side.

Kiera claims she was watching the 2 hour Michael Jackson 30 Year Anniversary Special on DVD which aired on HBO in 2001 when she suddenly dozed off during the performance of Thriller. It was at that point, things went horribly wrong. “All of a sudden, I was awakened by a hand caressing my face. But I was home alone, my husband was at work,” Kiera recalls. “The next thing you know, I’m having this erotic encounter with Michael Jackson. But it wasn’t the white Michael Jackson, he was black, and dressed like he was straight out of the Thriller video. I told him to stop, but he would listen.”
Kiera thought nothing more about the “realistic encounter” she had with M.J. – until September 25, 2015 when she gave birth to her third child. “Everything was going well with the birth,” said her husband Ken. “But then when I saw my son, and he was black, I said ‘What the hell is this!’ I was in absolute shock. That’s when Kiera told me about her terrifying dream. I think it’s wrong what happened and that’s why we are suing Michael Jackson’s estate. We just want a decent amount of child support to help raise his son.”

Kiera insists she has never cheated on her husband Ken with anybody of any race. Ken says he believes his wife and has no reason to not trust her, she is his “queen.” The Johnsons say they are willing to accept an out-of-court negotiation and are giving the Jackson family until January 1, 2016 to respond. As of yet, the Jackson family has not responded publicly to the allegations.
