A group of armed men in South Sudan have abducted about 89 children, the United Nations said on Saturday, February 21.
The children, some as young as 13, were writing exams in their school, near the Malakal area, when the gunmen arrived and took them away.
Witnesses say that the attackers raided the community and searched house-to-house taking every boy older than 12.
It is however not yet clear which particular group carried out the abductions.
Malakal has been the scene of intense fighting between rebels and the South Sudanese government but is now under the control of the latter
