Earlier this year the CBN succeeded in doing away with Arabic wording on the 100 Naira note. This was done to restate that Nigeria belongs to all Nigerians and not just one ethnic group of religion. This was a welcome development for we are a secular country.
Nigeria has to once again stand up and condemn this religious imposition on our national and international identification. We are a secular nation and not Islamic nation. No amount of registration in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) will change that.
I CALL ON ALL FAIR NIGERIANS, BOTH CHRISTIANS AND MUSLIMS, TO DENOUNCE THIS RELIGIOUS IMPOSITION AND DEMAND THIS ISSUE BE ADDRESSED IMMEDIATELY
