A third year student of Physics Astronomy, University of Nigeria Nsukka has reportedly hanged himself. According to information reaching Jungle Journalist from Obinna Ikem, a VOA freelance reporter in Enugu, the late student, identified as Okonkwo Onyebuchi reportedly had a mental illness last year and was hospitalized at University of Ibadan Teaching Hospital for one month.
He was reported to have taken his life in the early hours of today. According to his roommates, Late Onyebuchi left the room around 2am this morning and they thought he had gone to study, only for his corpse to be found dangling from a rope in an uncompleted building called Franco around the hockey pitch at UNN.
A purported suicide note which read, “The controversy is over” was discovered near him.
