Advertisement policy

Thank you for your interest in advertising on the Codewit World News.   This  agreement and the relationship between you and us Codewit World News will be governed by the following conditions:

You will not disclose to any other party any information you receive from us regarding our relationship with you, our clients, these conditions or any other···· information you receive, directly or indirectly, as a result of your relationship with us, even after termination of this agreement, unless you receive our previous written consent.

You agree to exchange and/or request any information or feedback necessary to fulfil the obligations and purpose of our relationship with you. Likewise, you agree to comply with any reasonable request· we may make in connection with our· relationship with you and/or this agreement.

The laws of Finland will apply to any matters in connection with this agreement. Any dispute will be resolved by one arbitrator sitting in Helsinki

You agree to host a live text-­based advertisement on your website which will direct traffic to the URL of one of our clients. We will work with you to develop an advertisement suitable to the contents of your website. We will select the text, location and any other features or details of the advertisement· before you place it on your site. Once live, you agree that any changes to the advertisement whatsoever will require our previous written consent. The advert should remain life for a period of 12 months.

You will inform us immediately by email of anything that may affect the advertisement (including anything affecting your website) and will use your best endeavours to restore the advertisement to its original condition as soon as possible.

Our advertisement will not be placed on any part of your website, or any other website you control, operate or have access to, which includes any content which may be offensive, illegal, discriminatory, politically incorrect, socially inappropriate or any other content we may specify. Particularly, any content that may affect or damage our or the client’s reputation, name or interests, including unfavourable comparisons of our client’s products, even after the termination of this agreement.

You will not contact our client unless we consent in writing. If our client contacts you for any reason whatsoever, you will inform us by email immediately, and we will ensure any queries are responded to.

You will comply with data protection regulations and respect the intellectual property of our client and/or More Digital that may apply in your territory and/or to your website. More Digital agrees to comply with the Data Protection Act 1998 (Helsinki) and will protect any personal information we may receive from you in the course of our negotiations.

You will acknowledge that neither Codewit World News nor our client sponsors or endorses your Advert and or is responsible for its contents.

You will pay us a fee to be agreed on our contract. This fee will be paid promptly after the advertisement goes live on our website.

You agree to indemnify and hold us or our client harmless of and from any and all claims, demands, losses, causes of action, damage, lawsuits, and judgments, including attorneys’ fees and costs, but only to the extent caused by, arising out of, or relating to actions caused by you, in areas within your control. This includes but is not limited to any page on your website, or any other website you control, operate or have access to

Advertisements on our website do not necessarily reflect the views or mission of Codewit World News, our affiliates, or our supporters. Advertisements appearing on Codewit World News do not constitute an endorsement of the product or idea advertised. Anyone or corporate body that proceeds to place adverts on our website should not expect any editorial compromises on our part nor should it be understood as constituting a tacit undertaking by our editors, writers, bloggers and reporters to refrain from publishing stories in the present and future that may bear negatively on their corporate image and practices.

The choice to place adverts on our website will not in any way deter us in our commitment to our readers to investigate and report accurately and exhaustively on corporate, political and personal activities involving public and corporate leaders actively engaged in politics or business in Sub-Sahara Africa.
