While reminiscing on the titanic clash against Argentina in the final Group F match Wednesday, Emenike who is yet to score his first goal at Brazil 2014. said, “I am delighted that we made it out of the group stages.”
He poured praises on Argentina skipper, Lionel Messi. “Messi is a great player, I have played against him twice and in my opinion he is really something special. We lost against Argentina, but I thought we did well and were a little unlucky.”
Looking ahead, Emenike speaks on the clash against France.”I am sure we are going to give France a tough game.”
Meanwhile, the Nigerian striker has given the green light to a transfer to the English Premier League amid speculations that he is wanted by several top clubs there.
The Fenerbahce striker said that he would be open to a move to England when told about interests from Chelsea and Tottenham.
“If I got an offer from those clubs [Chelsea and Tottenham] in England which meets Fenerbahce’s valuation and if my club are happy with the offer I would have no problem making the move,” Emenike said.
“I want to stay at Fenerbahçe but if I do get an offer and if my club gives the green light I would seriously consider a transfer.”
