Chairman of Delta State Sports Commission Amaju Pinnick said last night that Warri Wolves have not demanded any transfer fee from Enugu Rangers on embattled Sunday Mba and would not do so until the case over who truly owns the player is settled.
Rangers were reported to have said that Wolves demanded N12m on the player.
“Nobody can tell us how much and when to sell our player.
This is a gimmick. If they are contesting ownership of the player why are they issuing press release that we have agreed to sell the player for a certain amount? Do you sell who belongs to another club? We want the matter settled first.
We may even decide not to sell Mba. The talk about Wolves agreeing to sell Mba for N12m is a mere antic which we shall not fall to. It is not true,” Amaju said.
