GyanThe Ghana Football Association has announced activities for the Black Stars ahead of their departure for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.

The GFA has lined up some important activities on Thursday for the team before it departs to Abu Dhabi on Friday for the training camp ahead of the competition in South Africa.

The entire Black Stars squad, technical and management team, will visit Ghana President John Dramani Mahama at the Castle Osu on Thursday morning.

Immediately after the event the squad will move to the Teshie Orphanage where they will make a donation of various items to the school to help in the upkeep of the orphans.

Meanwhile, Al Ain striker Asamoah Gyan believes he is under pressure to replicate his club form for Ghana at the African Cup of Nations.

Gyan has scored an impressive 21 goals in 13 appearances in the first half of the United Arab Emirates’ Pro League.

The striker admitted he feels expected to score goals for the Black Stars following his poor display at the previous Nations Cup competition in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea, where he only managed one goal.

Gyan said, “There might be pressure because people expect you to do more.

“If you don’t deliver then people might say your form is due to lack and that is the challenge. Sometimes it puts a bit of pressure on me.”

The Black Stars will play their opening group game against DR Congo on January 20.
