WOMEN’S WORLD CUP QUALIFYING Nigeria kept its record perfect of having qualified for every Women’s World Cup, wrapping up a berth at next year’s finals in Germany with a 5-1 win over Cameroon. The Super Falcons will be joined by controversial Equatorial Guinea, winner over host South Africa with a 3-1 overtime victory.

Nigeria was led by Ugochi Oparanozie, who scored twice in the first half, and Perpetua Nkwocha, whose second-half hat trick gave her 10 goals in four games.

Oil-rich Equatorial Guinea is accused of importing players and giving them citizenship to play for the national team.

After Ghana lost to Equatorial Guinea, the reigning African champion, its captain Florence Okoe accused Equatorial Guinea star Salimata Simpore and two other players of being men.

Simpore, who scored twice in overtime, is originally from Burkina Faso and has also been accused of having previously represented Ivory Coast
