Eagles: No hiding place for Congo

Super Eagles have said that Congo cannot escape defeat in today’s 2015 Africa Cup of Nations Group A qualifier at the U.J Esuene Stadium, Calabar.

The African champions begin their quest to qualify for the tournament slated to hold Morocco, against a a rejuvenated Congolese side, coached by experienced French tactician Claude Le Roy.

Speaking during their last training session at the U.J Esuene Stadium, Ahmed Musa said “this is one match that we must win because it is the first in the qualifying series and the only way to show that we mean business is to win well”.

Also speaking, 2013 AFCON top striker, Emmanuel Emenike said that “we know the importance of the match and we are not ready to toy with it. We are confident of picking the three points and assure our fans that we  will surely emerge victorious. There is no hiding place for Congo”.

In his own view, Chelsea midfielder Mikel Obi said that “we won’t let our country down as we know the huge expectations that fans have anytime we are playing a match. Congo have a good coach but that won’t save them from being defeated”.
