Lagos and Port-Harcourt witnessed a revolution in pre-employment testing as GradExchange, Nigeria’s pioneer graduate recruitment scheme was recently launched with series of tests conducted in centres across Lagos and Port-Harcourt.

This development follows the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) earlier this year, announcing the partnership among GradExchange, the National Directorate of Employment (NDE) and the Nigerian Employers Consultative Association (NECA) towards the simplification of the recruitment process in the country.
According to Mr.Robert Ikazoboh, Managing Director of Dragnet Solutions, Nigeria’s foremost E-Recruitment solutions providers and promoters of GradExchange, the portal avails recruiters the opportunity to access pre-tested and pre-profiled graduates, easing the cumbersomeness of the manual recruitment process and ultimately help solve the problem of employment in the country.

While expressing his delight in this development, Ikazoboh added that GradExchange is the future of Graduate recruitment. “Imagine being able to meet all your recruitment needs just by a few mundane clicks of your laptop button. You can have a recruitment need in the morning and by noon you are already inviting a crop of potential talents for interviews, the future is here”.
He added that “The GradExchange initiative was conceived to make the recruiting process smooth and seamless. With this initiative, companies do not need to spend money advertising for vacancies, either through the online or traditional media. They also do not need to spend long man hours and logistics in processing CVs. All they need to do is to log in to the portal and input the caliber of candidates that they are looking for along with the criteria they want and they are presented with candidates who fit their choice”’.

Horace Obaze, Business Head GradExchange, who was at the launch in Lagos, commented on the huge turnout of graduate jobseekers: “The turnout today is very impressive, Nigerian graduates have taken their future into their hands by coming out in their multitudes to take the GradExchange test to enhance their visibility to potential employers.
Obaze called on recruiters to join their counterparts who have already started reaping the benefits of the GradExchange, saying not only will they be moving to an “era of ease in recruitment” but they would also be contributing their quota towards alleviating unemployment in the country.
