Dr. Manny: With Chelsea Clinton’s pregnancy, we prepare for another royal baby

0 0
Read Time:2 Minute, 56 Second

It seems like just yesterday I was giving unsolicited pregnancy advice to Kate Middleton – and look how well things turned out for her, delivering beautiful, healthy Prince George.

I also gave a little piece of my mind to Snooki, in the heyday of her pregnancy, and I’m glad she listened to me – because again, look how great things are turning out for her, as she prepares to welcome her second child.

Now, of course, it is time for me to give some medical advice to Chelsea Clinton.

First and foremost, congrats! I have always had a great admiration for the Clinton family; to me, they are the closest thing we have to a royal family this century in the United States. Chelsea Clinton is now reportedly in her second trimester– an important time in any woman’s pregnancy. This is a time when the fetus is gaining weight, and of course all of the baby’s organs are beginning to develop and progress towards functioning at full capacity.

Several things need to be kept in mind during the second trimester. First, mothers should watch their weight, which can be done by maintaining a balanced diet, filled with complex carbs, lean proteins,  vegetables and some healthy oils. While Chelsea Clinton was a vegetarian for many years, reports indicate that the 34-year-old started eating meat again in her late 20s. However, a vegetarian diet, if done properly, is perfectly healthy for a pregnant woman and provides plenty of plant proteins and vitamins that are incredibly healthy for the baby.

The other important factor for pregnant women in their second trimester is to make sure they maintain normal blood pressure levels. Monitoring salt intake is important not only for healthy blood pressure, but also to avoid excessive swelling. And certainly, getting good sleep and rest is essential. Public figures, like Chelsea, may have a tougher time getting those zzz’s, so it might be beneficial to her to amend her busy schedule.

It will also be crucial for Chelsea to avoid negative stress during her pregnancy. Now that her mother might be running for president, it’s likely that Chelsea will read and hear many unflattering stories about Hillary Clinton. I encourage her not to pay attention. Negative stress can literally make you sick, in addition to increasing pregnancy anxiety and post-partum depression.

During the second trimester, patients should also be aware of the signs of symptoms of premature labor. While we don’t know much about the mechanisms behind premature labor, we do know a lot about the symptoms. They include back pain, frequent contractions that tend to cover the entire girth of the abdomen, atypical vaginal discharge and pelvic pressure. These symptoms should not be ignored and should be checked out by an obstetrician as soon as possible.

Finally, I will say that I’m very happy for this couple; there’s nothing like bringing a new life into the world. For Hillary and Bill Clinton, there will be nothing more gratifying than to see that their legacy carried on by future generations. I hope that we give this couple the privacy that they deserve, while at the same time, sending them all our love and good thoughts.

India to pay Iran nearly $2 billion in deal to blunt sanctions bite

0 0
Read Time:2 Minute, 57 Second

India is set to pay Iran $1.65 billion over the next three months under an interim nuclear deal that eases sanctions on Tehran and gives it access to $4.2 billion in blocked funds, four sources with knowledge of the matter said.

As long as Tehran complies with the terms of its preliminary agreement with western powers, which took effect on Jan. 20, Iran receives some of its funds frozen abroad in eight payments from various buyers over six months.

Iran has cut its most sensitive nuclear stockpile by nearly 75 percent in implementing the pact, the International Atomic Energy Agency said in its latest report, as the OPEC member allays fears about its atomic aims.

This means Tehran will have access to the next two installments, each of $550 million, which are due on May 14 and June 17. The final $550 million installment, due on July 20, is contingent on confirmation that Iran has fulfilled all of its commitment.

The Indian government has asked refiners to make the first payment by mid-May, three of the sources said, adding that refiners will settle all three tranches if payment is allowed by the United States and European Union.

"The individual companies' share is to be worked out," one of the sources said.

Iran has so far received $2.55 billion in frozen oil funds, in five payments, four from Japan and one from South Korea. Three of the sources said Iran had asked India to make payments into the Central Bank of Iran's account with Oman's Bank Muscat in Omani rails.

"All I can confirm is that some movement is happening on payments by India to Iran, but the modalities as to which bank will be used by India to remit funds is yet to be worked out," said a western diplomat privy to the matter, who was not one of the four previously cited sources.

Indian refiners Essay Oil, Bangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd, Hindustan Petroleum Corp and HPCL-Mittal Energy Ltd together owe $3.6 billion to National Iranian Oil Co.

The tough sanctions slapped on Iran in 2012 closed banking channels for the transfer of oil payments to the OPEC member country, putting a stranglehold on its revenue, crippling its economy and ultimately bringing it to the negotiating table.

Indian buyers of Iranian oil have been settling 45 percent of payments in rupees, which Iran used for importing goods from India, while the refiners held the remainder.

Before the interim deal, countries that imported Iranian oil were required to steadily reduce their purchases to qualify every six months for a waiver from U.S. sanctions.

Iran's crude oil exports fell for the first time in five months in March and are slated to drop further in April, moving closer to the levels stipulated by the November interim deal.

That agreement allows Iran to keep exporting at current reduced levels of about 1 million bpd and opens a door for lifting shipment volumes later.

Iran's top four oil clients – China, India, Japan and South Korea – together cut oil imports from Iran by 15 percent to an average of 935,862 barrels per day (bpd) in 2013, government and industry data showed.

India's intake of Iranian oil surged nearly 43 percent in the first quarter of 2014, bringing a warning from the United States that it needed to hold the shipments closer to end-2013 levels of 195,000 bpd.

US: Russia has ‘days, not weeks’ to follow accord

0 0
Read Time:5 Minute, 14 Second

KIEV, Ukraine (AP) — Russia has "days, not weeks" to abide by an international accord aimed at stemming the crisis in Ukraine, the top U.S. diplomat in Kiev warned Monday as Vice President Joe Biden launched a high-profile show of support for the pro-Western Ukrainian government. Russia in turn accused authorities in Kiev of flagrantly violating the pact and declared their actions would not stand.

Biden, the highest-ranking American official to visit Ukraine during its conflict with Russia, planned to meet with government officials in the capital of Kiev on Tuesday. The vice president also planned to announce new technical support to help the fledgling government with energy and economic reforms.

Biden's trip comes days after the U.S., Russia, Ukraine and Europe signed an agreement in Geneva calling for Moscow to use its influence to get pro-Russian forces to leave the numerous government buildings they now occupy in cites throughout eastern Ukraine. The U.S. asserted on Monday that publicly available photographs from Twitter and other media show that some of the troops in eastern Ukraine are Russian special forces, and the U.S. said the photos support its case that Moscow is using its military to stir unrest in Ukraine.

There was no way to immediately verify the photographs, which were either taken from the Internet or given to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe last week by Ukraine diplomats.

In Moscow, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov rejected charges that Moscow was behind the troubles in eastern Ukraine and failing to live up to the Geneva agreement.

"Before putting forth ultimatums to us, demanding fulfillment of something within two-three days or otherwise be threatened with sanctions, we would urgently call on our American partners to fully recognize responsibility for those whom they brought to power and whom they are trying to shield, closing their eyes to the outrages created by this regime and by the fighters on whom this regime leans," Lavrov told a news conference.

Words and actions by Ukrainian leaders are "absolutely unacceptable," he declared.

The U.S. has warned that it will quickly order new economic sanctions on Russian officials and entities if Moscow doesn't follow through on the provisions in last week's accord. Gregory Pyatt, the U.S. ambassador to Ukraine, said it was still too early to tell whether the deal would succeed, but he added, "The ball is really in Moscow's court in terms of whether they're going to take this diplomatic off-ramp."

"There needs to be concrete results," Pyatt told reporters in Kiev. He said the U.S. would make a decision on whether the agreement is working in "days, not weeks."

While last week's agreement offered a glimmer of hope that the crisis in Ukraine could be resolved peacefully, the accord appears to be fragile at best. The armed pro-Russia groups have refused to leave their occupying positions in eastern Ukraine until the country's acting government resigns. And there was a burst of violence Sunday, with three people killed during a shootout at a checkpoint that was manned by pro-Russian troops.

Ukrainian and Russian officials each blamed the other for instigating the attack. The White House said it was still trying to determine who was responsible and had no independent verification of what transpired.

"Overall, we are concerned about the situation there, and we urge paramilitary groups throughout the eastern and southern parts of Ukraine to lay down their weapons and depart the buildings that they have occupied, as was called for in the accord signed in Geneva last week," White House spokesman Jay Carney said.

Even as officials sorted through this latest disturbance, the State Department sought to build a public case against Russia for the wider unrest. The photo images released Monday show militants brandishing Russian weapons and wearing uniforms similar to those worn by Russian forces. The militants look similar to the forces that moved into Crimea in March, ahead of a referendum there that resulted in the peninsula being annexed by Russia.

Secretary of State John Kerry and Lavrov spoke by telephone Monday but appeared to break little new ground. Russia's foreign ministry said Lavrov told Kerry that the Ukrainian government was unable and unwilling to stop what the Russians call extremists in eastern Ukraine.

Biden planned to meet Tuesday with government leaders who took over after pro-Russia Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych was ousted in February following months of protests. He will speak with Arseniy Yatsenyuk and Oleksandr Turchynov, the acting Ukrainian prime minister and president. The vice president is also scheduled to meet with legislators from across the country and democracy activists before returning to Washington Tuesday night.

He held a series of meetings Monday with U.S. Embassy officials, members of Congress also in Kiev for an update on the crisis and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe's chief monitor in Ukraine.

A senior administration official told reporters onboard Air Force Two en route to Kiev that Biden planned to announce new technical support to the Ukrainian government to implement energy and economic reforms. The official, speaking on a condition of anonymity to allow Biden to publicly announce any agreements, said the vice president also will follow up on recent U.S. commitments of non-lethal security assistance and discuss what more Washington can offer to help.

Biden also planned to discuss preparations for next month's Ukrainian presidential election and the latest developments in eastern Ukraine, where insurgents are accusing leaders in Kiev of aiming to suppress the country's Russian speakers in the region.

The Obama administration official told reporters that the assistance Biden will announce includes technical expertise to increase production and boost energy efficiency to reduce reliance on oil imports from Russia. The economic help includes advice to make sure international funding is allocated effectively and that all parts of the country are benefiting.

Obama gives Canada cold shoulder

0 0
Read Time:3 Minute, 3 Second

Barack Obama waited nine months before replacing the last U.S. ambassador to Canada. The post was empty, and Obama just didn’t care.

He doesn’t much like Stephen Harper – compare Obama’s icy body language towards Harper, to Obama’s deep bow when he met the Saudi king, or his high fives with the Hugo Chavez, the late ruler of Venezuela.

Don’t feel singled out. That’s how Obama treats many of America’s traditional allies. He spied on German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s cellphone. The White House's bust of Winston Churchill was returned to the United Kingdom when Obama became president.

Get used to it. Obama treats his friends worse than his enemies.

You’d think a $600-billion-a-year trade relationship between Canada and the U.S. would warrant sending a new ambassador quickly. Apparently not.

When Ottawa was finally blessed with Obama’s choice this month, it was yet another Chicago crony capitalist – Bruce Heyman, a former Goldman Sachs banker who, together with his socialite wife, bundled $1.7 million for Obama’s election campaign.

That’s what Obama thinks of the diplomatic corps: a reward for personal service, and an incentive to future donors.

Speaking of conspicuous consumption, one-percenters and Wall Street banksters, another Goldman Sachs alumnus was in the news this week. His name is Tom Steyer, he’s from San Francisco, and he makes Heyman look like a piker. This year alone Steyer promises to give or get $100 million for the Democrats – making him the largest single donor in America. Steyer is worth $1.4 billion, much of that made by investing in Canada’s oilsands, including pipelines.

But now that Steyer has made his fortune, he has decided he hates the oilsands, and pipelines, after all. His condition for giving his $100 million is that the Democrats stop the proposed Keystone XL pipeline.

So, last week, Obama did.

Obama’s own State Department has studied the pipeline endlessly, and repeatedly concluded it will have no significant environmental impact. It will create tens of thousands of construction jobs for Americans. And it will replace conflict oil imports from Obama’s buddies in Venezuela and Saudi Arabia with ethical oil from Canada.

Naturally, Canada never stood a chance. Oh, you can’t buy the president of the United States. But you can rent him.

Last weekend, Steyer jetted up to Canada. He won’t disclose his itinerary or who he was meeting with. But you can guess he was handing out money by the bushel to anti-oilsands front groups. Everyone from the David Suzuki Foundation to Greenpeace to the Council of Canadians takes San Francisco money, usually laundered through the Tides Foundation, whose specialty is keeping the ultimate source of its donations a secret.

Some billionaires buy yachts. Steyer thinks he can buy our country.

Stephen Harper should send Ambassador Heyman back to Washington to think things over. Heyman and Steyer are cut from the same cloth — they even worked at the same bank at different times over the course of their careers. Steyer’s vicious attack on Canada is done with the full support of Obama.

Obviously Obama thinks we can do without Heyman for nine months. Maybe we can do without him for a few more. It’s not the same as sending back a bust. But it would send a message: we’ve noticed Obama’s contempt for Canada. And we’re getting a bit sick of it.

U.S. ground troops going to Poland, defense minister says

0 0
Read Time:2 Minute, 34 Second

Poland and the United States will announce next week the deployment of U.S. ground forces to Poland as part of an expansion of NATO presence in Central and Eastern Europe in response to events in Ukraine. That was the word from Poland’s defense minister, Tomasz Siemoniak, who visited The Post Friday after meeting with Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel at the Pentagon on Thursday.

Siemoniak said the decision has been made on a political level and that military planners are working out details. There will also be intensified cooperation in air defense, special forces, cyberdefense and other areas. Poland will play a leading regional role, “under U.S. patronage,” he said.

But the defense minister also said that any immediate NATO response to Russian aggression in Ukraine, while important, matter less than a long-term shift in the defense postures of Europe and America. The United States, having announced a “pivot” to Asia, needs to “re-pivot” to Europe, he said, and European countries that have cut back on defense spending need to reverse the trends.

“The idea until recently was that there were no more threats in Europe and no need for a U.S. presence in Europe any more,” Siemoniak said, speaking through an interpreter. “Events show that what is needed is a re-pivot, and that Europe was safe and secure because America was in Europe.”

How likely is such a reversal on defense spending? Siemoniak said there was widespread support at a recent meeting of European defense ministers. “Now they’ll go back to their presidents, prime ministers and ministers of finance, and this will stop being easy,” he admitted. “But the impetus is very strong.”

The strongest impetus, he said, is not even Russia’s illegal annexation of Crimea, but President Vladimir Putin’s bald lies about Russian actions there and his exposition of a new doctrine allowing Russia to intervene in any country where Russian-speaking populations are, in Russia’s judgment, under threat. This poses a potential danger to the Baltic nations, which are members of NATO, and even more to Moldova, Belarus and central Asian nations that are not, he said.

Like President Obama, Siemoniak said it’s too soon to judge the agreement reached Thursday in Geneva to defuse tensions. He said he believes that Russia’s “special operation in eastern Ukraine didn’t go as planned” and that Putin may have decided to play a longer game.

“He holds different instruments that he can use to influence events in Ukraine,” Siemoniak said. Putin will keep in reserve the option of an outright military incursion, “but the political, military and financial costs would be gigantic.” The 46-year-old minister mused that until recently NATO was wondering what mission it would have, if any, once its troops came home from Afghanistan.

“Now we have an answer to that question,” he said.

Why Moscow deployed troops at Ukraine’s borders – Russian envoy

0 0
Read Time:4 Minute, 27 Second

Nikolay Udovichenko, Russian Ambassador to Nigeria, speaks on the annexation of the Crimean Peninsula from Ukraine by his country and Russia’s suspension from G8.

President Obama has called Russia’s action on Crimea as reckless and illegal. How does it sound to you?
I believe the consent of Russia to accept the appeal of Crimea to join our country was an act of willpower and courage, a display of rare patriotism to protect the interests of the Russian people in a critical situation. Only the country with strong political will is able to firmly resist the massive propaganda deployed by the West against Russia. Frankly, it was a forced but courageous step fully corresponding to the international norms, the UN Charter and the right of nations on self-determination.

We stand for a responsible approach, equitable relations in international affairs. The world today is not a place for geopolitical games in the spirit of the “Cold War”. It is regrettable that those who oppose the imposition of foreign will are traditionally described as enemies of humankind. We tried to avoid the aggravation of the situation, we did everything we could to prevent the coup d’etat in Ukraine and the appearance of a dangerous crisis situation.

But, unfortunately, all agreements broke down and the situation began to develop in the unpredictable direction. Under such circumstance, the Russian government couldn’t ignore the appeal of the absolute majority of the people of Russian Crimea. Our final choice was made and it was dictated by the history of our country, the international law and the responsibility of Russia to the Russian people who got into trouble after finding themselves abroad because of historical injustice.

It is not accidental that the Western countries also began to understand the danger of the current trends in Ukraine, and started, through their communication channels, to demand from new the Kiev authorities to put an end to the mayhem in Ukraine.

Ukraine is one of Russia biggest trade partners. Many people think this crisis will affect Russia’s economy?
Of course, you do not necessary have to be a prophet to foresee, that taking into account close Russian-Ukrainian economic ties – last year bilateral trade volume was more than 45 billion US dollars. The economic recession that followed the political crisis in Ukraine can have a negative impact on the Russian economy as well. We are trying to minimize the damages, maintain trade cooperation and avoid a break-up of the cooperative ties especially in industry and energy spheres.

I am confident that if the political situation in Ukraine is stabilized – although it is not that easy to do now – there will also be hope to save our economic relations.

Why is Russia deploying more troops to the Ukrainian borders?
Please, do not regard planned or, as in our current situation, unplanned military training as a threat. Our activities are transparent and fully correspond with the criteria and rules fixed by the international community. Particularly, we allowed international observers including Americans and Ukrainians to come for relevant inspection activities in the territory of Russia.

Thus, within the framework of the Treaty on Open Skies, according to which flights around territories of member states for observation from the air are organized, the flights were organized just a few weeks ago at the request of the Ukrainian party. In the reports on the results of the inspection made by the international observers, there was no evidence that could contradict my words.

There is the allegation that Russia is planning to invade Ukraine from the eastern border. Are you going to war with Ukraine or what?
Definitely not. I would like to underline that we have absolutely no intention to cross the border to Ukraine. The President of Russia Vladimir V. Putin stated it many times that we don’t want war with Ukraine or with any other country. We stand for stability and prosperity of our neighbors. We will steadily apply such policy. I am confident that there will be no military conflict with Ukraine.

Russia has been suspended from the G8. How does this affect Russia?
It is well-known that the so-called G8 is an informal club which does not issue membership cards. Nobody can suspend anybody from the group. Many people believe that the G8 has played its role because; after the creation of the G20 that includes China, Brazil and other big countries, all the economic and financial issues are being discussed there, while the G8 exists primarily as a forum for talks between the leading Western countries and Russia.

Issues of the Iranian nuclear programme (INP), the nuclear programme of the Korean Peninsula, the Syrian situation, the Balkans and some other problems are discussed there. However, there are other formats for the discussion of these issues: UN Security Council, the quartet of the mediators on the Middle East, P5+1, etc. Therefore, as our Foreign Minister S.V.Lavrov stated, recently, if our Western partners believe that this format is outdated, let it be so. At least, we do not cling to this format. We may see if we can do without it for a year or more, after that, everything will be clear on the future of this structure.

Russia Now Spends More of Its Wealth on the Military Than the United States

0 0
Read Time:1 Minute, 35 Second

In light of the increasingly tense situation in eastern Ukraine, the most eye-grabbing fact in the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute’s newly updated military spending database may be that for the first time in nearly a decade, Russia is spending a greater percentage of its GDP on its military than the United States. Russia’s defense spending increased by 4.8 percent last year and has increased more than a third under a military modernization program undertaken following the 2008 Georgia war.

Elsewhere in the world, amid rising tensions with Iran, Saudi Arabia is now the Middle East’s pre-eminent military power with the fourth-highest military spending in the world. China increased its spending 7.4 percent to $188 billion.

Algeria, where autocratic President Abdelaziz Bouteflika, already in power for 15 years, will almost certainly win a fourth term this week, became the first African country with the dubious achievement of spending more than $10 billion on its military. Oil-rich Angola boosted spending by 36 percent as well.

-Bill Dietrich

Overall, military spending around the world actually fell, though every region of the world increased its spending except for North America, Western Europe, and Oceania. The overall fall was driven largely by reductions from the United States caused by “the end of the war in Iraq, the beginning of the drawdown from Afghanistan, and the effects of automatic budget cuts passed by the US Congress in 2011.” The U.S. still accounts for 37 percent of the world’s military spending.  European countries cut back as well.

Convergence is certainly too strong a word—there’s still a long gap between the United States and the two superpowers that follow it, and between those three countries and everyone else. But the numbers show developing countries in something of a race to catch up.

Ann Coulter Endorses Cantor Primary Challenger David Brat

0 0
Read Time:1 Minute, 58 Second

Conservative writer Ann Coulter is enthusiastically endorsing Tea Party-backed candidate David Brat in his primary challenge of House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) in the upcoming June primary, citing Cantor's support for immigration reform.

In her nationally syndicated column, Ms. Coulter wrote that her endorsement was based on Brat's opposition to Cantor's immigration policies. Ms. Coulter labeled Cantor a "Maniacal Amnesty Supporter" in the column, and described him as "amnesty-addled."

"Cantor says 'immigration reform could be an economic boon to this country,'" wrote Coulter. "You don't have to be an economics professor [like Dave Brat] to know that bringing in millions of workers is not 'an economic boon' to the workers already here. (If only we could bring in millions of workers to compete for Cantor's job.)"

Coulter applauded Brat, who she wrote "responded to Cantor's baby-talk, saying immigration 'lowers wages, adds to unemployment, and the taxpayer pays the tab for any benefits to folks coming in.'"

"Anyone opposing an incumbent Republican for any reason other than amnesty is a fraud or an idiot," Ms. Coulter argued. "Right now, immigration and Obamacare are the only things that matter. Since every Republican voted against Obamacare, that leaves only immigration," she added.

Ms. Coulter wrote that Brat was one of three men who are challenging incumbent Republican supporters of amnesty in the primaries who pass her test of conservative campaign credibility "with flying colors."

The other two are Dr. Greg Brannon, running in North Carolina's Republican U.S. Senate primary, and Frank Roche, challenging a Republican in North Carolina's 2nd Congressional District, who Ms. Coulter describes as "the lying, amnesty-supporting Renee Ellmers."

"They're smart, attractive, articulate and unlikely to ever use the phrase 'legitimate rape,' " Coulter wrote of Brat, Brannon, and Roche.

Breitbart News reported on Monday that Brat, a long-shot challenger, had approximately $50,000 cash on hand on March 31. In contrast, Representative Cantor reported more than $2 million cash on hand on March 31 in his recently filed Federal Election Commission report for the first quarter of 2014

Sharpton’s Easter Message: Celebrate Obama’s Resurrection

0 0
Read Time:2 Minute, 14 Second

Al Sharpton, the incredible shrinking man, has not only lost the majority of his weight in recent years; he has also shed any credibility he had left. For a man whose rise to prominence as a race hustler was on the back of a lying teenager named Tawana Brawley, he obviously had very little to begin with.

Nevertheless, he still has the audacity to refer to himself as a “reverend” despite the fact that the only gospel he preaches consists of White House talking points. That fact was made nauseatingly clear in a recent radio interview on the Tom Joyner Morning Show.

As Easter approaches, most Christian churches will share the faith-affirming story of Jesus’ resurrection after dying on a cross for our sins. Sharpton, however, will be sharing a decidedly different spin on that core tenet of Christianity.

“I think the message is,” he said, “that no matter what the world may do to unfairly, no matter how you’re crucified, nailed to the cross at home, or in your personal relationships, or on the job, that you can rise if you don’t lose yourself during the hard times and the challenges.”

The “reverend” not only discounted Christ’s sacrifice by suggesting we can all experience something akin to his suffering; he also found a way to turn the holy day into political fodder.

Sharpton was apparently able to find a parallel between Jesus and Obama as he saw the latter “at our convention last Friday where all he took he’s been able to rise politically again.”

In an apparent attempt to play down his blasphemy, he said, “I’m not comparing him to Jesus,” before adding “I am saying that to every crucifixion there is a resurrection for those who believe.”

While Christ’s resurrection ushered in a new covenant between God and His children, Obama’s “resurrection” is defined by approval ratings in the low 40 percent range and an unpopular healthcare law forced onto a disillusioned American public. The parallels, in Sharpton’s mind at least, are striking.

For believers in the true meaning of Easter, on the other hand, this is just further proof that Sharpton has become a very rich man by bastardizing religion in the pursuit of his own goals.

This was unfortunately not the first time a political hack has tried to compare Obama to Christ. According to the dogma of radical leftism, Obama is as close to a savior as America has ever produced.
