Lindsey Graham Gets Benghazi Tattoo on Veterans DaySenator Lindsey Graham paid tribute to fallen Americans today by getting a tattoo commemorating last year's attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi.

According to local reports the Republican from South Carolina had the phrase "Remember Benghazi" tattooed across his forearm this morning at a tattoo parlor in suburban Charleston.

"The people of South Carolina know that I am 100% committed to finding out the truth about Benghazi." he explained to local television station WCIV-TV, whose cameras recorded the event, "Now I want them to know I am going above and beyond 100%.

"With this 'Remember Benghazi' tattoo I will always be reminded of that terrible day when President Obama allowed four Americans to die at the hands of Islamic terrorists. I'll be carrying the memories of their brave souls with me as I continue my quest to find out what really happened.

"This administration has stonewalled us at every turn in our investigation. But I will never give up. I will never surrender. I will keep fighting for the American people until the full truth comes out."

Fabulous Idea
The September 11, 2012 attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi killed four Americans, including ambassador Chris Stevens. Although the Obama administration initially claimed the attack was an outgrowth of a spontaneous protest, it later admitted the attackers were terrorists linked to Al-Qaida.

The issue has become a cause célèbre in conservative circles because of conspiracy theories – never proven – that either President Obama or Secretary of State Clinton were involved in a coverup.

Graham has led the charge in the Senate, threatening to hold up important nominations until the Obama administration answers questions surrounding the attack to his satisfaction. While some see his position as principled, others see electioneering ahead of a tough primary fight next year.

"I thought it was a little weird that he wanted to get a tattoo about Benghazi," says Matt Jones, the owner of the parlor, "But the way he kept looking at my ass was even weirder. Has anyone else noticed this guy is a flaming homosexual?

"I mean he's probably focused on all this Benghazi stuff to try and make conservative, Southern voters forget that they're being represented in the Senate by someone gayer than Richard Simmons on ice.

"Why doesn't he just come out already? He might lose his Senate seat, but he'd probably be much happier owning a bed and breakfast or something anyway. And at least he would have taken a principled stand on something for once."

In a written statement, a spokesperson for Graham says he is "a happy heterosexual bachelor" and that "the ladies love his new tattoo."
