DBanj-and-Don-Jazzy-360x260Finally D’Banj flung open the door of his much-vaunted upscale nightclub, One Eleven, to pub crawlers in Lagos last Friday. As expected, the event was well attended by VIPs in the entertainment industry.

Interestingly on the same day, the self-styled Kokomaster’s former business partner, Don Jazzy, announced on Twitter that he would open his own nightclub this weekend.

Already speculation about an emerging rivalry between both erstwhile owners of the defunct Mo’ Hits Records is rife. Also, it is presumed that they are determined to outshine each other in show business.

But D’Banj and Don Jazzy have said in separate interviews with journalists that they are not sworn enemies.

“It is solely business; there is nothing personal. They are not competing with each other,” an aide of Don Jazzy told LIFE&BEAT.

One Eleven and Pop nightclubs are both situated in Victoria Island, Lagos.

Meanwhile, D’Banj and other select artistes will perform at the 2012 Koko Concert in Lagos on Dec. 27.

The concert will be hosted by popular British actor, Idris Elba, and has an interesting line up of music acts like Big Sean, Pusha T, Tinie Tempah, Naeto C, Ikechukwu and others.
