Truck Driver Runs Away After Knocking Down FRSC Officials To Evade ArrestA reckless truck driver on Sunday in Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital deliberately knocked down two officials of the Federal Road Safety Commission, (FRSC) in a bid to escape arrest.
Witnesses say the most affected official identified as, Audu Muhammed, is on the danger list at the Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta where he was rushed to following the incident.
The Truck Driver heading towards Idi-Aba Area of the town was flagged down by the officials on duty, but rather obey the order, he resolved to knock them down to escape arrest. He eventually knocked down one of them, while others pursued him.
 
The second hit official, identified as Taiwo, was a bit fortunate as he sustained injuries, while another of officials who pursued the fleeing driver was unlucky, as he was dragged with the door of the truck while trying to gain entry, after they had levelled up with the truck.
The forceful push saw Audu landing on the road with his head and became unconscious, while the truck driver zoomed off from the scene. The victim was at about 5.00pm rushed to Federal Medical Centre, where Doctors were battling to save his life.
Our correspondent who was at the hospital as at the time the victim was brought report that blood was oozing out from his two ear.
 
As at the time of this report, sources said the victim’s colleagues have informed the authority, while efforts were on going to arrest the driver and the truck.
