Nigeria: Police in Enugu arrest notorious robbery suspect

he police in Umuabor Division in Nsukka L.G.A of Enugu State have nabbed a suspect believed to be a notorious armed robber identified as Ezema Julius alias Mororo who has been terrorizing Ede- Oballa Nsukka and its environs.   He was arrested by the operatives during a raid of suspected criminal hide out carried out in the area recently.

A statement from the police spokesman in Enugu State, DSP Ebere Amarizu says the suspect is now helping the police in their investigations as he has made revelations about other members of his gang including their operations. Recovered from the suspect in his hideout are quantities of weeds suspected to be Indian Hemp just as investigation into the incident has begun.

In a related development, a female suspect who gave her name as Chidinma has been nabbed by the operatives of the No 3, Police Mobile Force, Enugu State command, on a stop-and-search duty at Brown and Brown axis of the state for attempting to steal a yellow tricycle (keke napep) with registration number NEN 919 QF and fleet no T21/99 at New Artisan market along Enugu-Onitsha Expressway.  The tricycle is believed to be owned by one Sanusi Idris of  Carta Street, Ogui Road, Enugu.   The apprehension of the suspect became possible following a tip-off received by the operatives from members of the public.   Meanwhile, investigations into the incident have commenced in a full scale.
