A three-man armed robbery gang, on June 2, attacked a member of staff of THISDAY Newspapers, Mr. Adedapo Olojo, and made away with his metallic grey Toyota Camry salon car.

Olojo was attacked at Olaniyi Street, Oko-Oba area of Abule Egba, Lagos State, at about 9p.m on his way home from work that fateful day.

According to the victim, after he was attacked, the gang bundled him into the boot of the car and drove around for over three hours before he was released but they made away with his car with registration, engine and chassis numbers: KRD297AG, 7172097 and 4T1BG22K5VU037524 respectively.

The robbers also made away with his two phones, laptop, wallet, driver’s licence, company identity card, ATM cards, money and other valuables.

Olojo said: “I was on my way home from work when three young men appeared from nowhere with guns and ordered me to come down from the car or risk being shot.

“I complied and they asked me if the car had security and I said no, and they bundled me inside the boot of the car and drove around for hours before they dropped me at an unknown place.

“As I was trekking, I met a good Samaritan who accompanied me to the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway and then I made my way home. I have since reported the incident to the police.”
