In an intemperate display of deep-seated animosity, the sacked Chairman of APGA, Chief Victor Umeh regretted why the Arik Plane carrying Gov. Peter Obi and more than 100 other passengers that was reported to have encountered extremely bad weather on Tuesday, whereupon the Captain lost control, did not crash. Victor Umeh said that if the Governor had died, that it would teach others the transience of power. He said this to the shock of the audience on Wednesday at dinner in the house of Engr. Arthur Eze at Ukpo.
Chief Victor Umeh had gone to Arthur Ezeh's house with his lawyer to beg for money, with which he sustains what he called "APGA fight." He said that the burden was becoming too much for Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah, who was financing it thus far.
Though Arthur gave him N250,000 to fuel their cars, but he tongue- lashed him for wishing another person dead because of politics. He made it clear to him that he could be wishing somebody like him dead too because he has a private jet. The confused Umeh now pretended that he made the statement tongue in check.
Arthur explained to Victor why he had chosen not to fight Obi thus: "Obi is a good man and he is doing very well. He has a kind heart and God will not forgive anybody fighting such a person." When Umeh persisted, explaining that his was self survival, Arthur gave him N250,000 for fuel and asked him to come back yesterday. Since then, Arthur has refused to see him.
Meanwhile, Chief Ben Obi ( not the order Senator), who was there confirmed the story. He went on and insisted that Victor is now using the crisis to extort money from many people and appealed to Arthur not to give him anything.
Investigations reveal that Victor Umeh has taken APGA crisis as a business, approaching and collecting millions of Naira from people to use the courts to expel the Governor from APGA and take away the party from him.
Some of the people at table with them are: Chike Udenze ( Jakarta), Chief Bisho Okafor( Ebubedike na Ukpo), Cosmas Ogagwo (Okpoka na Abba), Muoneke, Ikechukwu Okoye, among others.
