IGP Mohammed AbubakarPlateau State Police command says, it has recovered a cache of arms and Improvised Explosives Devices (IED) set to be detonated in a suburb of the state capital, Jos.

The state commissioner of Police, Mr. Chris Olakpe, who disclosed this in his office while briefing newsmen Tuesday, said the Police made the discovery following a tip off by concerned members of the public, adding that the Police will soon embark on a house-to-house search for arms where attacks and counter attacks have become prevalent.

He lamented that too many arms have found their way into the hands of  youths in the state, and that such portents danger to residents if nothing is done about it.
