The Sokoto State chapter of the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) Monday said it was poised to wrest power from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) come 2015.

Speaking during a chat with journalists in Sokoto, the state Chairman of ANPP, Alhaji Ibrahim Milgoma, stated that the party was determined to bring an end to PDP's misrule in the state.

According to him, the party was battle ready to ensure that what happened in the past did not repeat itself come 2015.

"ANPP is determined this time around to salvage the people of Sokoto from the PDP-led government which performance left much to be desired in the last six years.

"We believe that it is only God that gives power and we have no doubt that the ruling PDP will be defeated in 2015,"Milgoma stressed.

He maintained that there was no going back on the ongoing merger by opposition parties, saying with the formation of All Progressives Congress (APC), the days of PDP are numbered.

The chairman noted that already the PDP had become jittery following the formation of APC, which he said would restore the lost glory of the country.

Milgoma called on supporters of the party to remain steadfast and resolute, adding that all hands must be on deck in order to achieve the desired goals.

"I am appealing to our supporters to persevere and not to be discouraged by the antics of the PDP because their days in government are numbered," he added.
