President Goodluck Jonathan arrived to commission a church in Enugu state today. The church reportedly built by the deputy senate president, Ike Ekweremadu had ailing governor, Sullivan Chime welcoming Mr. Jonathan at the airport.
An important photo taken of Mr. Chime's face swollen on the right cheek tells that the governor's cancer might be making an aggressive comeback.

Not long ago, Governor Chime arrived back in Nigeria after spending 140 days in London during which he underwent surgery for nasal cancer. He received a tumultuous welcome back in Enugu but his return appears to have been short-lived as the governor was flown back to the UK yesterday.

Governor's Chime's four month absence created a lot of political uncertainty in Enugu State, with some bodies calling for him to hand over executive powers to his deputy. Sources close to the governor say he was sneaked out of Enugu yesterday and no doubt, this will lead to more political tensions in the state.

According to the source, Governor Chime had not fully recovered from his ailment when he was hurriedly discharged from his hospital in London and returned to Nigeria. Apparently he had to hurriedly return to douse down the tension arising from his long absence.

On returning to Enugu last month, Governor Chime said he did not owe anyone any explanations for his absence while undergoing treatment as he was free to do anything personal during his vacation after he had duly handed over to his deputy Sunday Onyebuchi. He declared at the time that having been successfully treated, he was now fit to pilot the affairs of the state.
While in London, a delegation of Nigerian state governors came to visit Mr Chime to offer him solidarity. they included Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State, Governor Gabriel Suswam of Benue State and Governor Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom State.
