The United Progressive Party, UPP, has advised President Goodluck Jonathan to withdraw the brutal approach in tackling Boko Haram insurgency in the northern part of the country.
National Chairman of UPP, Chief Chekwas Okorie, who offered the advice while speaking in Abuja, argued: “You can’t wipe out the whole village because you are looking for only one person.”
He recommended the invitation of foreign powers by the Federal Government to help it check the the problem of insecurity in the country.
On the call for amnesty for Boko Haram members, Okorie expressed sympathy with President Goodluck Jonathan, saying he was in serious dilemma.
