NIGERIA: APGA, former NWC members dump Umeh

 Chief Victor UmehTHE crisis rocking the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, took another dimension, weekend, as 18 former members of the National Working Committee, NWC, of the party sacked by an Enugu High Court, dissociated themselves from the appeal filed by the National Chairman of the party, Chief Victor Umeh.

The court had on February 8, 2013, nullified the national convention of the party held in Awka on February 10, 2011, a decision that automatically dissolved the NWC organ of the party.

Deputy National Chairman (South) of APGA, Chief Chris Ejike Uche, who read the communiqué at the end of the marathon meeting.

The communiqué, among other things read: “We, therefore, further resolve that our former national chairman, Chief Victor Umeh, who unilaterally appealed the judgment of Enugu High Court without consulting all of us who were affected by that same judgment, is on his own and no longer enjoys our confidence.
