Former Governor of Lagos State and National Leader of the Action Congress of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has described the death of reputable international sport enthusiast, Ayo Ositelu as a major blow to the sports industry, describing him as “a fine gentleman, God fearing and honest,” just as wife of Governor of Lagos state, Dame Abimbola Fashola and Chairman of Ejigbo Local Council Development Area, LCDA, have expressed shock at the demise of the sport enthusiast.
Asiwaju Tinubu expressed deep sympathy to the Ositelu family, relatives and friends over his sudden death and prayed God to comfort them and grant them the courage to accept their loss.
Tinubu said Ositelu will remain for long in the memories of many particularly those who knew and worked with him, and most Nigerians for his gentle mien, his professionalism and commitment to both God and sports. “He will be remembered for a long time. He will be missed because he was one of the great sports enthusiasts that this country has ever produced. We celebrate him in death because we know that the legacy he has left behind will endure”.
