29122012C-Kogi-State-Governor-elect-Idris-WadaThe Peoples Democratic Party has directed its members nationwide to hold prayer sessions on Saturday for the swift recovery of Governor Idris Wada of Kogi State, who was involved in a ghastly road accident close to Lokoja on Friday.

A statement by the National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Chief Olisa Metuh, said the party was deeply shocked by the news of the accident.

Metuh said the party had yet to recover from a recent similar incident.

He was apparently referring to the air crash that led to the death of the governor of Kaduna State, Mr. Patrick Yakowa, and the former National Security Adviser, Gen. Owoye Azazi.

He said, “Our party had yet to recover from a rude shock arising from a recent similar incident. We therefore wish to direct all our members to observe compulsory minutes of prayers for the speedy recovery of Governor Wada and to spare the Party from further painful incidents.”

Metuh prayed for the repose of the soul of the ADC to Wada, who died in the accident and asked God to comfort those he left behind.
