Plateau State Gov. Simon Lalong of Plateau has enjoined Muslims Ummah to preach and practice the virtue of love to humanity as taught by Prophet Mohammed.

Lalong gave the advice in his Eid el-Kabir message signed by Mr Emmanuel Nanle, Director of Press and Public Affairs on Wednesday in Jos.

The governor called on religious leaders to preach the message of peace and love to their adherent and promote mutual co-existence in the society.

He said that true religious practice must show love and also sacrifice to make a difference into the lives of fellow human being.

Lalong urged Muslim faithful to extend hands of fellowship to all during the period.

The governor reiterated his administration’s determination through its ‘5-Policy Thrust’ to provide purposeful leadership to the people and thereby ameliorate the sufferings of the citizenry.

Wishing Muslims in the state a peaceful and rewarding Eid el-Kabir, he assured citizens that the security agencies have been charged to ensure that the celebration is peaceful.
