Abuja – The Independent National Electoral Commission has deployed six national electoral commissioners to Imo State for Saturday’s governorship re-run election, reports Daily Post.
The deployment of the six national electoral commissioners was ordered by INEC’s Chairman, Prof Attahiru Jega.
The deployment was to strengthen the existing staff of the commission in the state to ensure that the conduct of the supplementary governorship poll was hitch-free.
Gabriel Ada, the Resident Electoral Commissioner for the state, who disclosed this on Thursday, stated that no ad-hoc staff would be used in the re-run election.
