The Emir of Daura in Katsina State, Umar Faruk Umar, on Saturday, March 21, played host to President Goodluck Jonathan in company of PDP leaders and top Government functionaries, as the Emir pledged his support to the President.

Daura is the hometown of Maj. General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd.), the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in the 2015 general elections scheduled to hold on March 28 and April 11.

While Jonathan promised to continue to do what is good for Daura, Umar assured the President to always count on support and counsel.

The president further promised that in the next dispensation, his administration will implement the decisions of the just concluded National Conference to raise the standard of the traditional institutions in the country.
