What has Governor Adams Oshiomhole been doing with local government moneys in his custody? There are fears that these funds have started developing wings because of 2015 elections.

The news from Egor, Esan West and Ikpoba-Okha local government areas is that funds released to them by Oshiomhole, the Edo Emperor are inadequate.

As a result, they owe their respective staff four months backlog of salaries. In protest, members of the National Union of Local Government Employees in Edo State called out their members in all the local government areas of the state on an indefinite strike. The LG workers are also not happy over huge unpaid accumulated allowances. The NULGE strike is still on.
