The matriarch of the famous Udo Udoma family of Ikot Abasi, Akwa Ibom State, Lady Grace Udo Udoma, has passed on.
She was aged 87. Lady Udoma, the wife of the late former Justice of the Supreme Court, Justice Udo Udoma, and former Chief Justice of Uganda, passed away peacefully Saturday, January 17.
Lady Udoma, a well-loved community and women leader, who was very active in the Methodist Church of Nigeria, is survived by six children and several grand children including Mr. Ayanti Udo Udoma, Mr. Inam Udo Udoma, both business executives, and Senator Udoma Udo Udoma.
Senator Udoma is the Chairman of UAC of Nigeria Plc and Union Bank of Nigeria Plc.
She will be laid to rest in Ikot Abasi, Akwa Ibom State on Friday, February 6.
A commendation service will be held for her at the Trinity Methodist Church, Tinubu, Lagos, on Monday, February 2.
