NIGERIA: Two Armed Robbers Killed in C’River

 Two armed robbers have met their waterloo in Calabar, Cross River State, in separate encounters with the police and a mob. One of them was killed on Sunday morning by members of the anti-crime patrol, Federal Housing Police Station during a shootout with the police at Eight Miles area of the town.

Aside from killing the member of the five-man robber gang who could not be identified immediately, items recovered from them were a Toyota Forerunner SUV they stole that morning from a lady in her house in the area.

Also recovered was a Plasma TV set which they stole from the same woman. Locally made pistol, an iron cutter and two cut padlocks were also recovered from the robbers. Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Hogan Bassey, confirmed the killing of the robbers.
