A former Delta State governorship aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr. Tony Obuh, has declared that Senator Ifeanyi Okowa will win the February 28 governorship election in Delta because he (Okowa) is a “wonderful personality who has remained consistent in his service to the people.”

Describing Okowa as “my dear friend and brother” Obuh, who lost to Okowa at the PDP primary election, said:  “Senator Okowa is very passionate about the well-being of the people of Delta State, which has earned him respect and acceptance across the state.”
He spoke during a meeting between Senator Okowa and the leadership of National Association of Delta State Students in Asaba yesterday.

Urging the students to support and vote for Okowa, the former gubernatorial aspirant pledged to work for his success at the February 28 governorship election, adding that he (Obuh) went into the gubernatorial race with the mind to support whoever emerged victorious from the primary election.

Obuh, who is the immediate–past Permanent Secretary, Government House, Asaba, said he was ready to contribute his quota to ensure that candidates of the PDP for the various elective offices were elected in the February election, stressing that it is the responsibility of every PDP member to work for the success of the party.
