The Bauchi State Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mallam Bashir, has explained that the party has no plan to change Muhammed Awwal Jatau Bauchi as the PDP gubernatorial candidate with anybody.

Bashir who stated this on Saturday in Bauchi, said: “Jatau contested and won the ticket of the party after the completion of the primary election among aspirants. Since Almighty Allah who gives power to everyone gave him the ticket the party has no plan to replace him with anybody”.

On aggrieved aspirants, Bashir said “the party and other stakeholders are working hard to reconcile with them. Already, many of them like Senator Adamu Gumba, Bappah Azare, and Babayo Gamawa are attending our meetings and we have already reached former Minister of Health, Dr. Ali Pate, and Insha Allah we will continue with our reconciliation efforts to work together for the success of the party.”

He lamented over the dilapidated structure of the Tafawa Balewa square, Lagos where Governorship aspirants met and collected party flags, and appealed to the Federal Government to rehabilitate the place as a remembrance to fallen heroes like Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa and Sir Ahmadu Bello, among others.
