The Mgbidi community in Aguta in Imo State and its environs were thrown into excitement as the executive governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, made a dramatic appearance at the ongoing three-day 2015 crusade by The Lords Chosen Charismatic Revival Movement, to seek God’s blessings for his second term bid.

The governor who stormed the crusade ground with a high calibre of entourage, on Monday, was ushered to the pulpit where he addressed about one million worshipers at the crusade with the hope of good things to come.

He said: “Something will happen here today. Let me announce to all now that we are serving a living God. And let me tell all of you that 2015 shall be greater than 2014. As the governor of Imo, I have declared this year as a year of victory. And for this reason, God will be glorified in this land.”

Okorocah who stated that the Pastor of the Lord’s Chosen Church, Pastor Lazarus Muoka was an instrument that God has been using to cause great miracles around the world, noted, “We have heard what the Lord is using the pastor to do.”

“There are over one million people here, but let me say to you, you have come to the blessed land of Mgbidi. You can never go back the same in Jesus name. For us in Imo state, we pride ourselves with the word of God”, he added.

While speaking to journalists on the occasion, Okorocha said he was happy to hear the testimonies from the congregation.

“I am very happy to hear the testimonies here; I like the idea that people are accepting Christ as their Lord and saviour and that is the essence of Christianity. I am happy that this is happening in my state”, he stated.

“All of us are here today because of the good work of the Chosen and it is something which should glorify God Almighty. Many criminals and armed robbers have given their lives to God, which I am sure government alone couldn’t have preached the gospel to change them.
It is not the use of arms or force that would do the magic, but the word of God which could prove to be very effective”, the governor noted further.

Speaking on the people’s happiness over his leadership, the governor said it is God that puts the righteous in power, but when the wicked is there, the people would suffer.
On his second term bid, he expressed confidence that he would be re-elected.

“So far, so good, I like the will of God to be done.  I came into government by God’s will and He who believes I can do the job, will bring it to accomplishment in my life. I believe it is all about God”, he said.

In his response, Muoka asked the congregation to pray for the governor; for divine protection, sound health, salvation and for God to grant him his heart’s desire.
