NIGERIA: Jonathan Jets off to UK

President Goodluck Jonathan left Abuja on Sunday for the United Kingdom on a brief private visit.

The president was accompanied on the trip by some of his principal staff and personal aides.

Details of the visit were not disclosed in a terse statement issued by the presidential spokesman, Dr. Reuben Abati.

Jonathan is expected back in Abuja today ahead of official engagements at the Presidential Villa tomorrow, including scheduled audiences with groups from Delta and Lagos States.
