The appointment of Governor Chibuike Amaechi as the Director General of the APC Presidential Campaign Organisation is a masterstroke which will send President Goodluck Jonathan and Vice President Namadi Sambo packing from Aso Rock come 2015.The Rivers State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) stated this in a press release issued Monday morning in Port Harcourt.

“This well-deserved appointment of our own dear Governor Amaechi demonstrates APC’s seriousness to rescue Nigeria from the grip of an evil party that has enslaved Nigerians and done so much harm to the psyche and economic well-being of Nigeria and Nigerians,” Rivers APC said in the statement signed by its State Chairman, Dr. Davies Ibiamu Ikanya.

Continuing, the party said: “We expect Governor Amaechi to bring his outstanding reputation as a man of courage, vision, principle, winning streak, boldness, strength of character, decency and love of country, as well as his administrative prowess and organisational skills to bear on this task aimed at reclaiming our nation from the doldrums occasioned by an inept, unfocussed and un-visionary leadership. With Amaechi driving the APC presidential campaign, we have no doubts at all in our mind that the days of the Dr. Jonathan, Architect Sambo and the wicked Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Aso Presidential Villa are indeed numbered.”

Directly addressing Governor Amaechi, Rivers APC said: “We are aware of the danger inherent in this present task and we very much appreciate your patriotic zeal in accepting this task. This demonstrates your humility and large-heartedness in view of the politics that played out in the selection of the Vice Presidential Candidate of our great party. That you accepted this assignment shows that your driving force is not your personal gains but what is more gainful to Nigerians. For this we say congratulations as we are convinced that you will prove yourself once again by leading our great party to outstanding and resounding victory in February 2015.

“Your task has been made easier by our great party, which chose two upright men in the persons of General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd.) and Prof. Yemi Osibajo as the Presidential and Vice Presidential Candidates respectively. You, therefore, have very good candidates to market as opposed to the failed rulers presently lording it over Nigerians from Aso Rock.

“Nigerians now have a choice of electing a party to fight corruption and set our nation on the path of greatness come 2015 or continuing with the unfortunate present state of affairs where stealing of our common patrimony is not corruption, according to President Jonathan. Nigerians now have an opportunity to vote out the inept administration of the PDP Government that promotes insecurity and impunity while afflicting poverty and economic woes on the vast majority of our countrymen and women. This is a golden opportunity which must never be wasted because, as we have always pointed out, Nigeria cannot survive another four more years of Jonathan and PDP

Finally, we congratulate the APC Leadership for the maturity exhibited in both the election of General Buhari and selection of Prof Odibajo as the party’s Presidential Vice Presidential candidates respectively without any rancor or division within the party. This we know has sent a warning signal to the sinking PDP that its days in Aso Rock are numbered.

Says appointment as APC Presidential Campaign DG a masterstroke; congratulates Party Leadership on unity

Long Live APC!
