In what appears to be the ways of the tyrants, gov. Rochas Okorocha of Imo state Thursday ordered for the closure of all the markets in Owerri in order to force people to come and donate N100 for his 2015 re-relection campaign.

NewsDay Reporters was informed by a trader in Eke Ukwu Owerri of the developments in the early hours of Thursday and when our correspondent got to the market, the various market stores and entrance was under and key as fierce and fully armed military men were seen at every coner of the market to enforce the strict compliance of the governor's order.

On further investigation, NewsDay Reporters learnt that the governor's N100 campaign fund raising was to be held at the Imo international conference centre at Ware house road in Owerri.

The Imo market women however defied the orders of the governor as most of them were seen in groups discussing the governor's dictatorial approach and what they described as act of 419 by asking them to fund his re-election campaign while some others wondered if their collective money won't be used for ritual by the governor.

A trader who simply addresed herself as madan Ijeoma said "who knows if this mallan Rochas is not going to do juju with our money"?

It was later gathered by NewsDay Reporters that as Imo trader stood their grounds and defied the governor's directives in the early hours of Thursday, the governor hurridly moblized APC women and some of it's faction of students' union to troop out to the centre to save the governor from the shame of defiance of Imo traders.

Fights however broke out after the end of the donation ceremony as the different group fought over the monies shared by the governor which will be used to replace the money they have donated.

It would be recalled that NewsDay Reporters did blew open of the orchestrated plans of the governor to mastermind the N100 donations using hired people.

The aims of the plans was to create the false impressions that the people of Imo state wants him back while to the major sections in the state do not want him re-elected.

A political analyst has described the governor's hired donation as " an act desperation by a drowning politician"
