The crisis in the Plateau State chapter of All Progressive Congress (APC) may have further degenerated with the of National Secretariat annulling the election of Honourable Latep Dabang, who was earlier announced as the Party Chairman during the recently held state congress.
The party directed the interim Chairman of the party in the state, Senator John Shagaya to hand over power to Honourable Amos Gombi as the rightfully elected state Chairman of the party.
The directive to Shagaya was contained in a letter signed by the interim National Secretary, Hon. Tijani Musa Tumsah and read by Shagaya during the handing over in Jos.
He noted that the National Secretariat was in receipt of a petition filed by Gombi two days before the state congresses of the party that Dabang was a staff of the National Assembly, serving under Senator Representing Plateau Central, Chief Joshus Dariye of the Labour Party.
