A National Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Ambassador Ahmed Wali, yesterday arrived Osogbo, the Osun State capital, to supervise the August 9 governorship election.
A statement obtained from the Chief Public Affairs Officer of the commission in Osogbo, Mrs. Adenike Tadese, indicated that the deployment “is a quest to enhance transparency and fairness during the election.”
The statement indicated that Wali was “received by the Resident Electoral Commissioner in the state, Mr. Olusegun Agbaje and the management team of the commission.
