Iwuanyanwu himself an in-law to Arisekola, stated this when he led a powerful delegation of Igbo people from Imo State including three of his children to pay condolence to the family of the deceased in Ibadan.
Before he headed to Oluwo Kekere residence of the late businessman, he was received on arrival in Ibadan by a governorship aspirant of the PDP in Oyo State, Prof. Soji Adejumo, amidst fanfare by his political aides and a handful of Igbo traditional council chiefs in the state.
He said the late Aare apart from being his in-law, was also his very good friend who worked with other notable leaders across Nigeria to ensure the unity, progress and development of the nation.
To Iwuanyanwu, Arisekola ensured unity in diversity; he went to church with me when I lost my wife to console our family notwithstanding his status in the Islamic religion.
Arisekola was a man who from a very local background rose to the pinnacle of Islamic religion as Deputy President of NSCIA and became successful as a businessman. He was a legendary philanthropist.
“He was concerned about the joy and happiness of others. He was a great citizen of the world not just Nigeria.
"He came, saw and conquered and brought happiness to many people, may his soul rest in peace."
