NIGERIA: Two Burnt to Death in Accident

 Two people were at the weekend burnt beyond recognition at the Oluku end of the Benin Bypass in Ovia North-east Local Government Area of Edo State, following an accident involving a truck and a fuel tanker.

Four others were reported to have sustained serious burns and were rushed to the Central Hospital, Benin City, for medical attention.

The accident was said to have occurred when an articulated truck belonging to Dangote Group of Companies rammed into a tanker fully loaded with 33,000 litres  of petrol, causing the tanker to burst into flames and two other trailers along the Benin bypass were consumed in the inferno.

Officials of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), who described the accident as “fatal” and attributed it to “wrong overtaking” quickly called in the Fire Service whose officials put.
