The Federal Government has been tasked to bring more development to bear in the northern part of the country.
It was also observed that if the myriad developmental challenges facing the region are addressed, this would in no small measure contribute to addressing the security challenges facing the nation.

Senatorial aspirant in Bauchi Central senatorial district in the 2015 election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Isa Hamman Misau, disclosed this in a chat with THISDAY in Abuja. He condemned in strong terms, the killing and maiming of innocent people by terrorist groups.
According to Misau, terrorism is neither a northern affair nor Islamic affair, but the affair of all people all over the world.

“In order to stop the insecurity we are facing, we need to educate our people, we need to engage our people in being productive, so that they will know that they have hope, because many of our youths are losing hope.

“Somebody will graduate and five years after graduation they will not get jobs. So if you look at it, we are having so many challenges in the North, and it is high time for government to remove politics, let them come to the drawing board, let them see how they can approve, design northern region.

“The whole northern region compared to the South-west that are educated, Lagos with or without federal government presence can survive. If you look at Niger Delta, they have so many companies there or foreign assistance. But if you look at the North now, there is nothing coming from the North”, the senatorial aspirant averred.

On his ambition to represent his senatorial district at the upper chambers of the National Assembly, Misau who enthused confidence, said he was a grassroots politician and would coast home to victory at the poll.
Reminded that Bauchi is a Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP)-controlled state, the senatorial aspirant said it about who can do it irrespective of party affiliation, noting that he is at home with his people.
