Ace sports broadcaster, Aisha Falode, has called on the federal government to immediately intervene in the recent death of her son, Oloruntoba, who died under mysterious circumstances in Dubai.

Falode alleged that there was a plot by the Dubai Police Authority to cover up the alleged murder of her 19-year-old son who was alleged to have fallen from the balcony of his 17th floor (Apartment 1703) in Manchester Towers, Dubai Marina, Dubai, on February, 15.
Until his death, Oloruntoba, popularly called Fray was a student of Audio Production at the SAE Institute in the United Arab Emirate.

Addressing journalists in Lagos yesterday, alongside her lawyer, Mr. Festus Keyamo, on the facts surrounding her son's death, Falode said her personal investigations revealed that Oloruntoba was actually murdered by one Faisal Aldakmary Al-Nasser, a Saudi Arabian national and one Olivia Melaine Richards Evans, a Briton.

She said she had gathered enough evidence which proved her son was murdered.
"We travelled to Dubai in April and met with some of my son's friends who were present in the apartment on that fateful day.

"The summary of the accounts of these friends were totally different from what the police report indicated which revealed a weak attempt by the authorities in Dubai to hide facts that pointed to the fact that my son was murdered.

“It was like 18 to 20 metres from the building. The police in Dubai have not done a proper investigation on my son’s death because they said everybody in the apartment gave the same account of what happened, which was that my son was alone on the balcony and he sat on the railing and was swinging back and forth before he fell.

“The police did not tell us the whole truth and were trying to cover up for Aldakmary Al-Nasser,” she said.

According to Falode, some of Oluwatoba’s friends were also present in the apartment when the incident happened.

She said Oloruntoba's friends present in the apartment told her that they noticed that the Saudi Arabian boy had splatters of blood on his T-shirt, cut on his fingers and blood on his knuckles.
“In panic, they rushed to the balcony and saw that my son was no longer there. So, they knew that something had happened.

“The Saudi Arabian boy kept telling them that they shouldn’t worry about it (my son’s death); because the maximum he would get was 25 years in jail, and that he would take care of it.

"My findings revealed that Aldakmary Al-Nasser's fathar is a major investor in Dubai and so Dubai authorities would do anything to protect the boy because of his father's investments.”

Falode pleaded with the federal government to intervene on the matter and ensure that justice was done.

“No American or British citizen can be slaughtered anywhere in the world without their government asking questions. We can’t call ourselves giant of Africa if our citizens are killed in other countries, and yet we have not heard of any single investigation by our own government. It is indeed very sad for me. This is one murder too many,” she lamented.

She urged the federal government to prevail on the Dubai authorities to re-open the investigation into the murder.

"I am appealing to my government that I have done much more than I should do as a grieving mother who was left with no option than to start investigating my own son's murder myself. I implore the Nigerian government to prevail on the authorities in Dubai to re-open the investigation into the murder of my son and bring Al-Nasser and Evans both whom murdered him in cold blood to book

"Justice must prevail not only for my dear son but also in honour of the memory of all the other young lives that have been cut short brutally. If no one acts, everyone is at risk of this unfathomable pain," she said.
