Insecurity : Lets unite to save Nigerian project – Kwankwaso

KANO – Kano state Governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has called on the political class to bury their differences and work to save Nigeria project.

Mr. Kwankwaso who made the passionate appeal in Kano when he received in audience members of the society group explained that ” there is no better time than now for us to bury our hatchet in the overall interest of Nigeria “.

“Nigerian should close rank,bury our differences especially the one created by politicians to save Nigeria project “, Kwankwaso stressed in an emotion laden speech.

The opposition Governor stated that the event of the last few days by stakeholders across the country has obtained a change of attitude on the part of those that control the seat of power in Abuja, pointing out that “The unison by which Nigerians have taken Chibock abduction has forced Abuja to sit tight.”

Kwankwaso declared that ” this is the time to bring back these children  and reunite them with their families as this remain the only option to restore confidence in our polity”.

He commended the civil society Group over the peaceful manner they have handled the Chibock abduction, stressing that “Government would continue to do its best for her citizens “.

Kwankwaso further assured the Group of his readiness to submit their letter to Mr. President within the next 24 hours, adding that ” Mr President knows that you people are here and if I failed to do my responsibility, I know he would ask for it”.

The Kano Governor stated that “From the content of the letter, it’s evident that he would sit tight and address the issue fair and square “.

In a speech earlier, chairman, Kano Civil Society Group Bala Abdullahi tasked Government to evolved a proactive strategies that would bring back the children back home unharmed.

Comrade Abdullahi appealed to the federal Government to make it as a matter of policy brief Nigerian on the state of affairs until Chibock debacle is resolve.

Members of the Civil Society Group had staged a peaceful protest in Kano Wednesday demanding urgent action to free over 234 school children abducted by suspected insurgent group.
