The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Emeka Ihedioha has called for a sober reflection by Christians and all persons of goodwill during the Easter season.

The Deputy Speaker, in a message by his spokesperson, Oke Epia, urged Christians to remember that Easter was a time to recognise the miracles that God has brought by the death of Jesus Christ, keeping in mind that the occasion provided us with the opportunity to think seriously about what contributions we can make to move the nation forward.

He appealed to Christians and indeed all Nigerians to keep the faith even in the midst of trials, and to pursue peace and harmony with all men, even as portrayed in the life of Christ while he was on earth.

Ihedioha wished that all Nigerians will partake in the blessing of the season knowing that the beautiful mystery of Easter was the final act of God expressing His love to us.
