He said: ‘Intensified intelligence monitoring and analysis of every link in the conception and execution of possible terror attacks will go a long way in containing the threat.’

He expressed his condolences to families and relatives of the dead and the injured, adding that his thoughts and prayers were with them in their dark hour of grief.
Also reacting, Wogu described the early morning attack on Nigerians who were mostly workers as callous and barbaric.

Wogu said during visits to some of the victims at the National Hospital Abuja, General Hospital Asokoro and Nyanya General Hospital Abuja added that the incident is sad, criminal and condemnable.
“This is a sad situation, it is heinous, callous and barbaric, it is a cowardly and dastardly act that should be condemned by all Nigerians,” he said.

According to a statement from the ministry, Wogu also expressed condolences to workers, the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC).
