kanu_nwankwo_thumbNigeria’s Super Eagles coach, Lars Lagerback, has named the final 23-man squad for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa and Nwankwo Kanu has been named captain of the Super Eagles; this is Nwankwo Kanu’s third World Cup.

Victor Anichebe, Onyekachi Apam and Ikechukwu Uche were left out of the team. They have all been dealing with injuries and this could have contributed to the decision to leave them out of the team.
